I wear 8.5/9.0 sized shoes but my feet are wide. I went with the Medium socks and they are snug. If you're close to the upper range, especially if you have wide feet, may want to size up.

I was so impressed with the perfect balance between warmth and thickness in these socks that I kept buying more. Wow, what a mistake! After 5-6 washes, these socks started shredding massively more lint into my toes than any socks I've ever owned (see photo). Even after trying desperately to remove this lint each night, my wife and I would still find lint all over our bedroom floor, in our bed, and even clogging up our shower. I've tried everything from washing them inside out to wearing them for shorter periods each day. Nothing works. I will now have to throw away $270 of socks I purchased just this winter. ... show more
