  • 5.0 out of 5 stars TRANGIA Pot Stand
Pattern Name: Single Item
This is exactly what I needed to be able to cook with smaller pans on my TRANGIA stove kit

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT for the Trangia 27!
Pattern Name: Single Item
This little thing is EXACTLY what I need and have been looking for since getting into alcohol stoves for backpacking. I’ve tried so many configurations, and keep coming back to the Trangia storm cooker as the best and most practical option. I don’t care what the ultralight crowd says. I want reliability and not to have to babysit some tippy pot stand and cludgrd together wind screen solution that’s gonna blow away, get bent, or whatever. And I know without a doubt that my fuel carry / burn is less. What always bugged me though was the inability of using my other cups or smaller cooking gear. I tried finding a grill small enough to fit inside (there is none), the little titanium cross stands (don’t fit right and are too close to the flame), and even a PC fan grill (fits great but can’t take the heat). This little thing showed up and solves every issue! In my Trangia 27 it can fit on either the lower or upper pot stand brackets. It’s rock stable, and it fits inside the set without adding a single bit of bulk. It’s a tad heavier than it could be, but I don’t mind after my experience almost melting the PC fan. Best of all, Amazon had said 3-4 months for delivery. They revised that down to one the day after ordering, and then it actually showed up within a week! I couldn’t be happier. My cooking setup is now a done deal. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars The Trangia Pan Stand - Sooner or Later You will purchase it
Pattern Name: Single Item
Anyone who owns a Trangia 25 or 27 knows the great capabilities they offer in any kind of weather, especially high winds and cold temps. But we all must admit that these cook sets will not hold smaller pots or pans, the type most often carried by weight/space conscious backpackers. Hence the Trangia Pan Stand. When this item is lowered onto the hooks of the cook set, you can use any smaller pot or pan and still have the wind protection of the Trangia 25 or 27. The stand can also serve as a trivet on wood surfaces. But most of all, you will buy it because it is Too Kool not to get. Admit it. It's okay. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite for model 25
Pattern Name: Single Item
This was made for model 27, which is smaller. On the model 25 it sets with the narrow sides on the pot holder arms. Which means that it is not secure. A tap on the side of the pot (like you might with your foot), and everything falls into the flame. This disappointing for me. I expected better. However, I think that I can make security loops with some copper wire. I just don't think that I should have to do that. Trangia should have made another pan-stand for model 25. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and useful piece of kit - especially for us gear heads...
Pattern Name: Single Item
Quite useful addition to your series 25 or 27 setup. This basically opens up options for using pots like the Zebras or GSI Dualist on the Trangia base. So if you are cooking something substantial and special, like say fresh vege stew (fresh, not rehydrated - there is a difference) for 6 people up on Mount Awesome at the end of a long day, and there are fire restrictions, one approach could be to use a canister stove for what it's great at - boiling water, and then transfer pot to the Trangia on this to long simmer, for which the Trangia is, as you know, brilliant. I've seen comments on other sites about finally being able to brew up proper espresso with their favorite espresso pot - i'll take their word for it - just saying those comments are out there. All in all, it's an interesting bit of kit in that it gets you thinking about all your other gear for your system, and what are the possibilities. And ladies and gentleman - that's why they call us gear heads... :-) ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars My quest to own every Trangia accessory lives on
Pattern Name: Single Item
Hobos will tell you the proper way to cook soup in the can is over a garbage can fire, but now you can use your Trangia storm cooker too! Seriously, though, the gaps in this are a little wide, so you could manage to tip and spill something like a soup can. If this was powder coated, pots wouldn’t slide around as much. If you don’t mind something that weighs three times as much and costs half as much, you could use an Ilsa 5 inch gas ring reducer in the 27. This stand seems pretty sturdy, but bending a cast iron ring won’t happen by accident. Still, it's good to see Trangia making an effort. I may try pawning it off to some friends with a 25. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Allows me to use non Trangia pots
Pattern Name: Single Item
I love the Trangia 27 and 25 and use them for all of my outings except winter. The problem I had was I like to carry my Heavy Cover canteen set on day hikes and there was no way to use the canteen or canteen cup on the Trangia cook kits. This adaptor is overkill for my intended use but it is also built to last. Adds a small amount of weight to my daypack and really provides my options when it comes to pots. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars One cook kit to rule them all...Tangia-27-7
Pattern Name: Single Item
I have a lot a different camping stoves/systems, but the 27 always seems to make the trip. This pot stand works perfectly with the 27 and stores fine with the 2 bowls, tea pot, strainer, cooker, handle. Highly recommend when you want to use a larger traditional pot with the Trangia. The whole system is amazing. ... show more
