  • Great Chassis - Great Price
Color: Black Style: Classico MAX
This case provides everything I was looking for, especially at this price point. I'm coming from a smaller NAS enclosure that became very crowded and restricted airflow. This chassis offers plenty of space for cable management and can hold up to 10 (possibly even 11) hard drives if you place one on top of the bottom drive. I currently have 6 HDDs and 1 SSD installed, and there's still plenty of room to grow. With seven fans running, the temperatures for each drive and the processor stay around 30°C, which is impressive. This is my first time building inside a tower-style case, and the experience was much easier than working with smaller cube-style NAS enclosures. The build quality feels durable, and while I don't have much to compare it to, I'm genuinely happy with it. If you're looking for a chassis that can hold several drives and still maintain great airflow, this is a solid choice. I'm fairly new to building PCs and servers, but after a year of learning, I can confidently say I wish I had started with this unit from the beginning. ... show more

  • Extremely satisfied.
Color: Black Style: Classico
WOW! absolutely pleased with this case. At first I was looking for something more budget friendly for me but I pulled the trigger on this one because of the features listed, particularly expandability and vertical PCI card support. I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed. the amount of drives you can put in this thing is insane, very thoughtful design, cable and drives can actually breath. Comes with 3 fans on front, one at the back and mesh ventilation on top.. The Absolute NAS chassis. I fitted my mATX x9scl board and I couldn't be happier for the future. Definitely recommend if you have a server or if you are thinking of building a workstation. Cable management option is great with room for the cables when you close the panel, and I was very surprised when I plugged in this thing, the silence was sweet. Also, the cage design for the drives is amazing, very compartmentalized, sturdy, makes sense. The drives stay secure and its actually very satisfying to add or remove them.. In a very odd way to me Lol. ... show more

  • SATA cables tight fit but manageable, 10 3.5 inch drive capacity
Color: Black Style: Classico
Purchased to use as a data server to replace the 20 year old case I had with more hard drives than spots to mount them. Likes: 10 3.5 inch drive capacity which is difficult to find, simple construction, frugal price compared to others. Dislike: Basically just the tight cable routing fit with standard SATA cables. Only 1 SATA power cable supplied, not 2 as implied in the video, also it is not a 90 degree connector which is not the best for the tight fit of this case. Closing the sides is a tight fit with standard SATA power cables on my PS, but manageable with careful placement of the cables. Right angle adapter SATA power cables are very recommended if you have standard ones. While standard SATA data connectors worked more easily, right angle ones would be better there also. Minor issue: The IO shield for the ASUS MB did not quite fit, but I managed. Wish it had: There is enough room in the case that a 5.25 inch mount could be fitted as an option with a different configuration, but that is not done. But I can deal as I already have an external optical drive. All in all, good quality, 9:10 for design, an advance recommendation for right-angle SATA cables in the description would be welcome, but well worth the $90 compared to what else is around. ... show more

  • Price to Performance Ratio 5/5, Get it.
Color: Black Style: Classico MAX
Sturdy, light, and plenty of HDD or SSD space. Perfect for a home server and can easily store more then 200TB if you have the right drives. Getting 4 fans and a controller was a huge plus, I didn't even bother with top mounted fans as the airflow was good enough with an air cooler on the CPU. Will easily hold a big GPU (4090), but not 2. Great price. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • A highly versitile case great for using as a storage server.
Color: Black Style: Classico MAX
The Darkrock Classico is an amazing case. I was not expecting much from a lessor known brand but I was pleasantly surprised by it's build quality. No sharp edges anywhere and the side panels come off with ease. I went with the Max version due to it being 1 inch larger in depth as I was concerened my Epyc CPU cooloer would have been to large for the regular version. I think I could have gotten away getting the smaller one but getting the Max gave me more peace of mind. The amount of storage this case holds is insane. I currently have six spinning rust HDD, two on the bottom, not seen from the front and four on top. I still have space for four more HDD and even two more SSD on the back. I'm using this case for my Proxmox server with a Supermicro H12SSL-i ATX motherboard. The case itself is not heavy which is great as adding all my components increase the overall weight a bit. Airflow and temps are reasonable with 3 120mm fans in the front and top of the case and a single 140mm in the back. Overal all I am quite happy with the case, it's size and it's overall functionality. ... show more

  • Very Good for its price
Color: Black Style: Classico
I like this case — for the price, it’s cheap, durable, and functional. Pros: - Supports plenty of HDD space — I was able to install 4 HDDs without issue. - The four included fans are strong and quiet. - Comes with a fan splitter and two right-angle SATA cables (about 14 inches long). - The price is right. It’s made from thin metal, but it's sturdy enough for my needs. Cons: - Maintenance isn't easy — adding or removing HDDs requires removing both side panels and the HDD cage. - Side panels are difficult to screw in when the case is standing vertically; it needs to be laid flat for proper alignment. - Thumb screws don’t work well — you’ll likely need a screwdriver. - The power and reset buttons are too easy to press accidentally. Moving the case almost guarantees an unintended press. - The rubber feet are held by plastic clips rather than screws, and they’re prone to breaking when removed. - The case is bulky with no handholds, making it difficult to move when fully loaded. - Despite its size, internal cable management is tight — routing cables cleanly can be a challenge. ... show more
