I was actually surprised by how nice this flooring looked in person because the color is a really soft natural oak shade that makes the room feel warm and clean right away. The veneer has that real wood look I love and even though these are engineered planks they still look high end once they’re laid out. When I opened the box the pieces felt sturdy and smooth and the grain looked consistent enough that my floors won’t end up patchy or mismatched. I laid them out across my living room to get a feel for it and the color looked even better against natural light, almost like something out of a home catalog. For the price I honestly expected something thinner or cheaper, but these feel solid and dependable. I think this type of flooring works well for busy family homes like mine because it is easy to clean and it does not scratch as easily as some laminate floors I have had in the past. Between my kids running around, toys being dragged across the room, and our golden retriever Beau sliding through the hallway, I needed something durable that still looks pretty and this really hits that balance. I also love that it is not too glossy because overly shiny wood floors show every little speck of dust and with two kids that is a constant battle. These planks make the whole space look softer and more put together without me having to stress about every footprint. It gives those cozy home vibes without looking old fashioned. Overall this flooring is a great mid range option if you want something that looks natural and feels sturdy without paying the price of the super premium floors. It will take time to install since it is tongue and groove but once it is set the look is worth it. I think this would look beautiful in bedrooms or common areas where you want a fresh updated look without anything too dramatic. I am happy with the color and how much it elevates the room already just by laying a few boards down to visualize it all. These flooring planks are great quality and have a nice natural wood stain and look. Easy to put together, I am using them for a furniture project and they work perfect. The planks have a good thickness but are still easy to cut.

The product description says that it is a dark oak flooring, but the product is actually more of a natural oak color and is painted white on the reverse side. The planks are nearly a half inch thick; these aren't the thin laminate planks you usually see in stores. The box they come in is really heavy; I couldn't lift it from my porch and bring it inside so had to open it on the porch and bring in a few pieces at a time. It has a matte finish and almost appears as though there is no sealant on it at all, but I tested it with water and the water does bead up and roll off. It is engineered wood, so not really oak. The oak veneer is a thin layer, so this is not the type of flooring you would want to put down in a high traffic area because you won't be able to sand it down and refinish it when it gets worn. I have an unfinished attic space and plan on laying it down there so I could walk inside that area and use it for storage so it will serve my purpose. Some of the planks appear slightly bowed, so you will have to tap them to get them to go into the next board's groove.

Unless you've seen it in person or don't care about color - consider buying the single sample box. This is solid feeling, rather thick and cimes in a heavy box. (I wasn't home and my wife could barely move it inside!) I was going to put a floating floor over the concret in my shop, but i might use it to cover my ooen .esh shelving into solid smoith surface. (Thoough thinner plywood would be cheaper.)

Boards are multi layered with a somewhat thin layered Oak Veneer layer on top. Other layers appear to be chipped wood glued together (plywood) and a coated bottom base. AD says water Resistant but gap spacing these per install instructions and plywood is questionable for use around areas that get moisture. Plywood Tongues were rough and a few needed flattening out with file (minor wood splintering) but everything clicked together ok though some boards are slightly bent but were easily pushed down and into place. Exposed top of board has various tree growth oak wood patterns (all different so thin veneer appears real oak). Texture on top of board exposed to touch is finished but feels like a sanded raw board. Not table top smooth but a little rough. Comfortable to walk on and Good traction but not good for a small child crawling around on. Have to go back to Ad and it says water resistant so there might be a sealant on top, cant really tell. Bottom is white coated and plywood layer looks raw.. Thought about Varnishing....
