So I almost exclusively wear Dansko. I work in a hospital and can stand up to 10 hours in a shift. I have mostly Professionals but I do also have some sandals and athletic shoes. This pair I was excited to get as I liked the mostly black color. When I first wore them the soles were loud. I nearly returned them because of the noise. They sounded like when you walk thru something sticky. I liked the fit and how comfortable they were to wear so I tried them for a shift. I am happy to report that the sticky noise stopped after an hour or two of walking. Now these are much softer than the Professional Danskos. They still have the great arch support just a much softer insole. Normally I give Danskos 5 stars but I nearly returned these because of the sticky noise from the soles. ... show more

Wow. I'm sold. I sent the link to my family. I was hesitant about these because they look like old lady shoes (old ladies have achy feet and have years of experience wearing the wrong, most uncomfortable shoes and have it figure out in the end, right? So they know their stuff?). I'm not old, BUT I do typically love Dansko. ❤️ I tried these on and it's like walking on very supportive clouds. Kinda springy, but not like they're going to collapse and lose all of their chushion in two months. Some hiking shoes aren't great on pavement because the lack of cushion in trade for a firmer, gurippy sole to accommodate the trail, but I'm thinking these ones will be ok. I have medium feet - narrow heel, wide toe. I also have battled plantar fasciitis off and on for 4 years (work boots). I'm only wearing them around the house right now, but I'm imagining all the hiking and traveling I'm going to do in these. They're leather, so I imagine they'll last. They're waterproof, so that makes them all-season, at least here in the PNW they are. Shipping took longer than all the other shoes I had simultaneously ordered. I worked in footwear for many years and have tried on A LOT of shoes and I'm pleasantly surprised by these. Will see how they break in and wear out and will update later. Great, rugged footwear! I only wear Dansko shoes and these are high quality. These took a few wearings to break in. Waterproof for sure. I wear these in the woods on uneven terrain and in the mud and they are great. True to size.

These are stiff and awkward shoes. The laces go really far forward over the toe and it both looks and feels odd. Fit was fine I guess, but the look and feel were not for me. Returned.

These shoes appear to be very well made and sturdy. I was surprised they are also very comfortable even with my bunions. (They don't have much arch support, so I inserted my orthotics and they did the trick.) I chose the shoes for an upcoming vacation where we might have rain, because they are advertised as completely waterproof. Many reviews said they are. But they are not. The leather may be, but I suspected the tongue, which is made of fabric, might not be. So I put the shoe on and sprinkled a little water over the top of the shoe. Sure enough, it went through and wetted the inside of the tongue. Some of the water spread further down towards the toes and wet the inside of the shoe there. My socks became damp. I took the shoes off, and several hours later, the inside is still damp. ... show more
