    • Tights are great but they might affect the fit of your shoes.
As the other reviews stated, these are great. They're in a word, durable. Which might lead some to think that they're not elegant. Well, they are. They're sheer in the right way, not too revealing but not too opaque either, and have a nice little sheen to them without coming off cheap looking. I think they're a keeper, and I'd buy more. Regarding fit: I'm a size 14. I ordered the XL size (D) because I figured the sizing on pantyhose for a wider at the bottom with long legs woman like me is always a little snug, and not in a good way. I'm a little over 5' 7". So glad I did. They fit perfectly. I had these on with a navy blue pinstriped skirt suit and a pair of black pumps and these were awesome, to say the least. OK, now the only gripe I have with these is that they caused my feet to slip in my pumps, as though they were too big. Thank god I had tissues in my purse because I had to wad up four of them (2 in each shoe) to put in the toe of my shoes in order to get a better fit. It's bizarre to think how these made my shoes, which fit perfectly in bare feet, to slide about half an inch and one of my pumps even fell off at one time (the tissues weren't exposed so I was OK, I just put my shoe back on and trod off). So I'm not sure what I can do about that. I'm thinking that I'll just try to find some non-slip insole for my pumps and deal with it, because the tights themselves are worth it. Just wanted the gals to know, because I was tottering around initially like I was a five-year-old trying on mommy's shoes LOL ... show more

After I read all the reviews from others, I was super nervous to order these because even one said they ran super small. But I am here to say, they don't. Maybe size up one from your regular size. Based off all the reivew of people my same height and weight (5'4" and 178lbs) I ordered a 4x. So many people said the 1x and 2x were way to small. Well, these are definitely not small and I could have easily ordered a XL and been just fine. I am going to keep them because I need them and they were not expensive, but I am sure they will be ok. Online reviews are hard and everyones bodies are so different. But I wish I would have just stuck with 1 size more than my normal. ... show more

I'm gonna give you what you came here for lol. I have cellulite especially on my right thigh and I'm wearing a costume that is pretty short even though I could wear these with basic shorts and a heel in the fall anyway. I was just half trying them on to check fit and I got the 2X because everyone said they were cut small and I've never gotten a stocking. That was too big to be honest that I couldn't just cool up. I'd rather it be too big or too small and it was easy to put these on there was like no tension pulling up and I wasn't worried about snagging because of it so I would definitely say size up if you have thighs and booty so you don't have to struggle putting them on. For the record, I usually were an extra large and things and queen sized in stockings. Yes it does.     • The "ultra shimmery" black pair I bought do not shimmer at all and I am actually fine with that
I've worn Danskin tights for over three decades. I had pairs that were literally 10+ years old, but they finally needed replacing. The "ultra shimmery" black pair I bought do not shimmer at all and I am actually fine with that, but they seem thinner and less forgiving than my old ones. They already have pulls after two days of wear. I also see small horizontal stripes - not a pull or rip really, but it's like the material is either thinned out or missing (hard to explain). As for fit, I actually bought a pair smaller than the size guide but I was constantly pulling them up and the waistband went almost all the way up to my bra. They are better than stockings for everyday wear, but I am not sure I'd buy these again. ... show more
