Great tool for cutting butter into flour and mixing stiff dough! Very sturdy, easy to use and shortened the time needed to combine ingredients. I usually have a more difficult time cutting in butter using standard pastry tool. This tool works better for me. I was able to get the butter down to pea sized crumbs with reasonable effort. Keep in mind, I do grate my butter into the flour to start. Hand wash immediately after use and you won’t have a problem keeping it clean in the nooks and crannies.

This is such a simple thing but so handy if you make bread. It mixes flour and water better and more quickly than my hands or without the fuss of setting and cleaning up a power appliance. I don’t have to wash my hands afterwards or use a plastic glove. It is sturdy, about as long as your forearm. As quickly as it mixes it cleans up even more quickly with a swish or two in warm soapy water. I wondered why so many are sold. Now I know. You should only ever need to buy one of these for your own use. But it would make a nice gift for a bread making friend. For people who don’t like to get their hands covered with sticky bread dough it’s a no brainer.
