I have 2 iRocker boards for comparison and here is what I've found. To be fair, I'm a total amateur and have only been paddle boarding for a few years, so take it for what it's worth. As far as the board itself goes, it floats down the river the same as my others. The differences in that are the padding on top is much thinner and the fin seems more fragile. Not like it's going to shatter, it just shows rock wear easier. The board is lighter and rolls up easier but I think it has one less layer of material. This may become apparent in the long run, time will tell. Where I notice the biggest difference is in what comes with it. The carbon fiber shaft on the iRockers paddles are far superior to the aluminum on the Dama, the manual pump it pretty bad too. I used it once just to make sure it worked. In the end, I feel like it is a good value. I have recommended it to people looking to get into paddling or for a loaner that don't want to invest a whole lot. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This was our first trip out with our new Dama boards & we're very happy with both them! It was a good value for the board, bag, paddle, phone case, everything you need you to get started. We learned that to air them up fully is a pretty good workout & although they feel firm below the recommended psi they won't be as firm as they should be on the water (see husband sitting lol). It seems like a lot of people bring along electric air pumps. Looks wise the color schemes are nice & we received compliments on them right away. Looking forward to many more trips out on the water with our Dama Paddleboards. ... show more

I wanted to buy something to take on float trips and to the lake that was affordable and portable, and this inflatable SUP did not disappoint! I've taken it to the lake a few times and on one 10 mile float trip. I had never used a paddle board before buying this one and it was surprisingly easy to stand on and maneuver on the river. It was more difficult on the lake since the water isn't always moving in the same direction as you, but it was still fun! When folded, it fits easily into the included backpack(which has slightly thinner straps than expected, but is otherwise pretty sturdy) along with the paddle, pump, and the seat (purchased separately). It is a little heavy, definitely a workout for my 5'3" self, but I can manage it on my own. I had a 10-ish minute walk from camp to the river for the float trip, and I was able to carry the board by myself, only taking one break to switch which side I was holding it on. It does inflate quickly, I would say in about 7-12 minutes depending on how fast you want to pump. I have considered getting an electric pump to save me from the additional arm workout though. The board is very sturdy. As long as it has enough air, it doesn't bow when you stand on it. I was worried at first about how well it would do against rocks, but I did scrape the bottom on gravel a couple times and bump into one larger rock and there was no damage to the board. I did get off the board if the river became shallow enough to scrape the gravel, but that didn't happen to me as much as it did for the kayakers I was with since it mostly rides on top of the water. One of the times I took it out on the lake we put 3 adults on it at once, and later used it to tow a few inner tubes further away from the shore. It moved less efficiently and was more difficult to maneuver, but did not damaged the board. The carrying strap is the only thing that seemed too cheaply made. One of the carabeeners snapped in half the second time I was using it, but it was easy to replace on my own. The pin that tightens the clasp on the paddle also broke the second day I had the paddle board out on the water. Their customer service was great though! I emailed them about the pin and they quickly sent me an entire new paddle! Overall, I think this is a great and affordable inflatable SUP, especially for beginners! ... show more

The board was delivered fast. We have 2 DAMA boards from 2 years ago as well. Love those, but love the upgrades they have made to this newer version. The extra two small fins, smaller storage bag, moving the inflation location, and additional bungies on the back of the board are all improvements to an already great board. Would recommend. We have had zero issues with our older board and are loving this one so far. ... show more

    • High quality board for reasonable price

This is my first paddleboard. My girlfriend has had a SUP from Dama for several years with no issues I’ve only been out on this board a few times. The board is very stable in the water, even when traveling through parts of the river with high winds and boat traffic. Everything you need comes with this unit, other than a life vest. The reason I picked this particular one, was for the front and rear cargo straps. My girlfriend pointed out that 90% of boards only come with them on one side. I’m glad I took her suggestion. Because it does make bringing extras along easier. We bring life jackets, snacks, cooler, anchor, etc. plus once in the water I put my shoes under the straps. It’s highly recommended if you are looking at one to get this one with the extra straps. My only issue, that I believe will be a non issue after a few more trips, is that some of the ink from the deck mat doesn’t seem like it cured all the way maybe? After my first trip that I spent a lot of time laying on the board I noticed the green/teal tint had transferred to my arm and back. Didn’t notice it the next trips but it wasn’t as hot and I wasn’t laying as much. Set up is easy, you may need to watch a video if you have not pumped one up before. Speaking of pumping….. buy an electric pump now, it is a miserable experience to hand pump these things, which has nothing to do with Dama. It’s just the nature of pumping that volume of air into a board. If you buy an electric pump, you plug it up and get the rest of your stuff ready. By that time it stops and you are good to go.
