I have the smaller 13L version of this backpack and absolutely loved it! It helped me limit the amount of things I took to class with me, and was super cute. I was thrilled to get a new laptop, but sadly it wouldn't fit my 17inch laptop. So I went to try and find a slightly larger size only to find the print had been discontinued in the US. I found this bag, saddened that it was so large, but seemed to be the smallest one that my laptop would fit in. And let me tell you it did not disappoint! As a college senior, I spend most of my days attending in-person classes, leaving little time to go home and eat and spending money on campus food is expensive (if you know, you know.) This one has a pretty good sized insulated pouch in the front that will hold a well-portioned lunch. It also has a very deep waterbottle pocket on one side that manages to fit my giant waterbottle. It was a slightly padded pouch for my laptop, a smaller pouch for my ipad, and extra room for other things! It may not have many pockets, but personally the extra room makes up for it since now I no longer need to carry a lunchbox. I've also been using it to travel back and forth home for the holiday breaks and it seems to be holding up very well! I wish there were 2 side pockets, one for a water bottle and one for an umbrella. Also only 1 zipper on the cooler pouch is frustrating but it's a really nice feature.

Just ordered another Dakine backpack, but not because this one needs replacing. Rather our son wanted a larger bag. Over the years, we've had many brands of bags, but Dakine is the only brand I have repeatedly bought and the simple reason is the strong zippers and durable material. I’ve used a Dakine EVE 28L backpack for my work laptop for the past seven years. Last month the zipper on the main compartment broke, so I decided to get a new one. This pack is 30L, but it’s smaller than my previous one. The laptop sleeve looks like it was designed for an iPad - it definitely does not fit my laptop. Dakine makes the best bags and this is no exception. I bought this for work to hold a binder, folders, and possibly a laptop. You can store it all in here. There is a slot for a laptop or large tablet. Color is as pictured. It is comfortable to wear on my back too.
