  • Does what I need it to.
Size: One Size Color: Cascade Camo
Nice little pack, 4 stars because it does what I need it to do but isn't perfect. Pros: Great build quality. The rigid material forms a solid layer between you and your belongings. It allows the pack to maintain its shape. Cons: It's so rigid that it can have a tendency to ride up a little due to the fact that it does not settle down and conform to your body like something softer and more flexible might. Hasn't really been an issue for me as I use it for gravel/road rides, not for mountain biking. As for the design, I only have one minor gripe: The edge of the material which is made to cover the zipper, is not very functional. It doesn't lay even across the zipper. I guess it is suppose to be something like a dust cover, or just a trim piece. Either way, you have to put actual effort into folding this piece down over the zipper in order for it to cover the zipper the way it was intended, otherwise it just sticks up awkwardly. It gets in the way of the zipper and just looks bad unless you are intentional about repositioning it every time you close it. A tad annoying if you get in and out of it often. Might be a quality control thing, or maybe they are all like that? ... show more

  • Ordered another for myself
Size: One Size Color: Cascade Camo
After reading reviews about the belt being too short, I decided to buy for my children because I didn't think it would fit around my blubber layer. When they arrived, I tried one on and it fit with inches to spare so I'm ordering another for myself. My children are young teens and they wear these for trail biking and hiking. I'm adding to my own huge stash of lumbar packs that I wear in rotation for daily road and trail running. (For trail biking I prefer using a bladder for hydration). Note: not all bike bottles fit. The Elite Fly ones do not. I wouldn't suggest using more than 18oz bottle as your elbows might graze against the spout. For standard non-sport drinking bottles, the TKK unbreakable plastic ones with flip top do fit nice and snug. Update: The pack is VERY well constructed with high grade nylon. Main section has 2 velcro pockets against the front wall and a divider elastic pocket against the back wall. However, Dakine skimped on the belt and buckle. I use this primarily for running and hiking and midway the belt would always loosen by itself no matter how securely I tuck away the excess belt. It drives me nuts cos one time it almost dropped to the ground. Oh it will say unverified purchase but I did purchase and received them. Order tracking died halfway and packages are automatically marked as lost by amazon. How do I change that? Can't connect to customer officer. ... show more

  • Good Pack Overall
Size: One Size Color: Vandal
Let's address a few reviews I've seen of this product. Like several other reviews my pack came with a broken button before I even opened it. Expect to replace the buttons. Otherwise this is good quality for cheap, but the storage space is a bit smaller than I expected. The reviews about this not holding bottles are inaccurate, it is designed to hold bike specific water bottles and does it so well they don't even come out during a crash. It is not made to and won't hold a regular water bottle, so please use the right bottle before complaining. The strap is not all that short, I have a 30 inch waist and about 6 inches of leftover strap, although this may pose an issue if you have a bigger belly. Make sure to measure your actual waist, don't reference your pant size. Overall it's a good, well designed product. ... show more

  • Belt sizing is made for cyclists.
The belt on this bag is sized for cyclists, not for beer drinkers like me. I am a M32" waist with a pandemic induced beer gut. The belt on this bag fits very tightly around my waist. It will probably fit a "fit" M33. Waist sizes beyond that will probably not fit. The bag itself is made pretty well. Nice stitching. Quality feeling material. Feels durable. Bag has a large separate fleece lined compartment for your phone with a separate zippered opening on top. A second compartment, accessible from the front, has elastic holders sewn into the bag to hold CO2 cartridges, multitools, etc. There's enough space to fit keys, wallet, large smartphone, multitool, CO2 cartridges/small pump, and 2x tubes. I was able to squeeze in a 24 oz water bottle in the bottle holders. The holders are elastic, so you might be able to squeeze in a larger bottle. YMMV. Nice all around bag. Just be aware of the short belt. ... show more

  • Overall good
Size: One Size Color: Ashcroft Camo
Let me start off by saying I love everything Dakine!! This is such a great Fanny pack has support durable separate pockets and love the water bottle side straps… only downfall is for the price the waist belt is not very long. I have to wear it pretty high in order for it to buckle… I like to wear Fanny packs a lot lower on the hip area.. other than that great Fanny pack ... show more

  • Right size for most rides.
Size: One Size Color: Ashcroft Camo
Perfect size for most lunch or evening rides, and even for longer days as long as you don’t need a ton of stuff. Fits my pump, multi tool, CO2 chuck, some small parts, and a couple bars with room to spare. Plenty of space for a packable shell or something. I’ve crammed my knee pads in here for a long climb. Haven’t tried carrying water bottles on the sides yet. If I’m carrying that much water then I’m switching to bladder/backpack. I have a 35” waist, and the pack sits comfortably. I think a waist over 36” might be pushing the limits of the belt, though. It breathes well - I ride in 90-100 degree heat and haven’t had a problem with sweat sponging into the material too bad. ... show more

  • Waist strap is small
Size: One Size Color: Vandal
The pack it self seems to be good quality, but the waist strap is very small compared to every other fanny pack I've used. I doubt anyone with more than a 34 in waist would be able to wear it.

  • Light Simple and Easy
Size: One Size Color: Ashcroft Camo
Been using Dakine packs for about 30 years. Simple and easy like it should be. Lightweight. Unfortunately first one had a snap in two pieces in the bag for the bottle retainer but returned it for the camo. Hence the 4 not 5 stars and honestly my only issue with a pack of theirs ever. Have about 6 or 8 currently . Not very long straps so a40 in max. but most cyclist are smaller than me. Gave it to my son to wear now and works well. Stays in place and hardly know it’s there. ... show more
