  • Easy Cure For the Naughty Pony
This is NOT a true training aid, but more of a preventative tool to keep naughty ponies from throwing head down with a small, beginning rider. The same pony very likely does not try to graze or throw head down with more experienced riders, so again-this is a situational tool to keep beginners from having to fight with a savvy pony. Decent quality for the price, and easy to use. ... show more

  • Does the job with some modification
The rein needed some modification to work with our 11 hand pony. We had to add more holes for adjustment and cut off some of the excess strap. The rein is very stiff and is a little difficult to work with. We also ended up tying the rein to the top of the bridle so it wouldn’t slip from side to side. Now it is working quite well. The pony was pulling the children out of the saddle and this has been stopped. ... show more

  • grass diver
would have liked it better if it came in black. also needs to have more holes to adjust the size smaller, i needed for a horse with a short neck, a mustang. it did stop him for diving on grass and my rides are now more enjoyable.

  • Perfect solution
Works great. My children (5 & 9) were getting discouraged from riding because the horse kept dropping her head to graze, and they don't have the strength to stop her. Now they can't wait to go to the stable! The elastic in the rein makes sure she doesn't get jerked to a stop, but still can't drop her head far enough to pull the kids out of the saddle. We ride in a rope halter with no bit, and this still keeps her up off the ground. ... show more

  • Works great!
This worked fantastic on my daughter's Welsh Pony who always puts his head down when she rides him. Part of this was due to the flies which we just spray his legs now and he doesn't seem to do this as much but this helps tremendously well on a pony/horse that puts their head down a lot. It makes it so much easier for the child to ride without being yanked forward! ... show more

  • DOES WORK TO KEEP A HORSES HEAD IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION
This item does work well to keep my horse from dropping his head. The attachment straps are very thick and wide which makes it difficult to thread though saddle rings. I have trimmed mine down with scissors and then heat melted the sizes.

I have used this for the last 2 weeks and it is having a very positive effect on the problem behavior my horse was exhibiting. More than I had expected.

  • Not real user friendly
Works ok. Bulky. I put snaps on for easy on off.
