I got these pillows to replace our aging and pretty much dead/permanently flattened older down/foam hybrid pillows. Those pillows had previously been some of the best we'd ever used -- able to work well for both side and back sleeping as well as hold up to a 55 - 60 pound dog laying on top of them (and still fluff back up). I wanted us to use these for at least a week before I reviewed them, and at the end of a week, I'm not ready to throw them out! I have to admit, I didn't have the highest of expectations, because I've gone through tons of 'meh' pillows over the years, and the ones these replaced were always gonna be hard to beat or even get close to, especially at the price of these pillows. The good: - medium firmness. I do wish they held up a little better to being squished overall, but these are reasonably firm and don't cause me to wake up with a sore neck, so I can't complain. This is the ONE area my older pillows were better -- but only in their prime (these are better than the older pillows were at the end). - ability to re-fluff. Out of the package they were flat, but they puffed up quickly and easily and continue to do so every night, and this is despite the fact that my nearly 60 pound bull terrier thinks one of these is a great bed. - no smell out of the package. I had my reservations regarding this, but these were a very pleasant surprise -- there was no smell once out of the package (my dogs would disagree, as they both had to sniff like crazy for a bit). - they're definitely down -- for the first time this morning, a feather poked out of one of the pillows. So yep, they're at least partially the real deal. A couple of minor nitpicks: - I wish they were a little firmer, but that's a personal preference. Hubby and I do not use more than one pillow each (I tend to end up with a sore neck if I do), so we need our pillows to actually support the neck properly. These are very close to perfection, so I'm mostly happy. - I wish the cover of the pillow itself was removable/washable (instead of needing to wash the entire pillow every time). Very minor detail, here, just something that my older pillows had that was nice. Conclusion: My two bull terriers love these pillows so much (they went from almost never sleeping on our bed to always sleeping ON TOP OF THESE) that I'm actually tempted to order another set. Dog tested and dog approved! Because all you dog owners out there know that if the dog doesn't like it, it won't last long ... =P

We have had these pillows for a month now. I got them because my husband likes pillows he can fluff and squish and shape to his liking. I personally like firmer flatter pillows or the more specialized cervical pillows. But I knew he would really like these pillows and I was right. I like them because they look better on the bed than my flatter pillows, which I can toss in the closet in the morning. He has slept well every night, and enjoys fluffing and squishing to his hearts content to get the pillows just right every night. Its a win/win situation for both of us. I love the way they look and he loves the way they feel. They are definitely great quality and will last for a long time!!
