Excellent and quieter than the original spindle/router motor. I specifically got this as I haven't yet figured out mach3 and/or linuxcnc and wanted to ensure I had control over the motor. The previous motor sheared the main shaft and also the controller was getting too hot and going into safety. This one is as described. And the collets appear to work. I only used the 1/8" so far. Took about a half hour to go through everything. You will need to provide a power wire from mains to this. I cut the end off a pc power cable

Product delivered relative fast, without damage, good packed. Kit itself has everything as described, nothing missing. Quality is OK. Most important that motor has no vibrations and makes very little noise. Didn't checked collets yet, but i think they could be OK too. I wish price could be little bit lower, but overall i'm satisfied with product.

The fan was severely out of balance which caused a lot of vibration and noise. Once I balanced it the motor ran a lot quieter. It is a very good upgrade for my 3018 pro machine

If you are looking for a 500w spindle for your 3018/3040 or something custom, look no further. If you are currently looking at the rattmmotor 500w spindle skip it, I ordered one of those first and it was DoA, ordered a replacement one and the power supply control board was covered in tar like substance, and as soon as the supply was plugged in it blew my breaker. The wiring was correct as it was the same 3 wire plug I was using for my 300w spindle motor first. This product is packaged beautifully, comes with collets, wire, and terminal ends. Power supply looks great has mach support and it is just overall better in all ways. Spend the extra 20$ and buy this one.

The media could not be loaded. Even though the price is right, and the spindle-plus-power-supply seems to work as intended when given the 0-10v power signal to the Mach3 signal input (and also the manual potentiometer works as well), I am having a problem and have not be able to get support. There is "back current" on the Mach3 input terminals. It's 0.25V, which is just... enough... to make the spindle spin all on it's own. It seems to be noise from the PWM. If I could get this fixed, I'd rate it higher. As it is, I need to go shop for another Power Supply Unit.

But not by enough to really make a big difference. The big problem is this thing is very loud in the electromagnetic spectrum. The EMI turned my functioning 4 axis cnc machine into deformed cylinder maker. It wasn't as bad in the 3 axis mode, a missed step here and there wasn't too noticeable in reliefs. If I was making parts those missed and double steps would have ruined them. It is what is says and it is better than 75 or 350. What I know now it that the spindle is everything when it comes to a cnc. Need more power, things are taking too long just wait and save up for something above 1kw.
