Excellent and quieter than the original spindle/router motor. I specifically got this as I haven't yet figured out mach3 and/or linuxcnc and wanted to ensure I had control over the motor. The previous motor sheared the main shaft and also the controller was getting too hot and going into safety. This one is as described. And the collets appear to work. I only used the 1/8" so far. Product delivered relative fast, without damage, good packed. Kit itself has everything as described, nothing missing. Quality is OK. Most important that motor has no vibrations and makes very little noise. Didn't checked collets yet, but i think they could be OK too. If you are looking for a 500w spindle for your 3018/3040 or something custom, look no further. If you are currently looking at the rattmmotor 500w spindle skip it, I ordered one of those first and it was DoA, ordered a replacement one and the power supply control board was covered in tar like substance, and as soon as the supply was plugged in it blew my breaker. The wiring was correct as it was the same 3 wire plug I was using for my 300w spindle motor first. This product is packaged beautifully, comes with collets, wire, and terminal ends. Power supply looks great has mach support and it is just overall better in all ways. Spend the extra 20$ and buy this one. ... show more

hooked this puppy up and was like "wow, that smells like burning brushes!" and come to find out, the "0-100v pwm power supply" was actually a "163v-163v non-pwm power supply." this seems to be a common issue with this PSU. I am glad I turned it off and went with a 48v supply and a board that controls it, because that is a really good setup. the spindle is great! it's quiet, efficient, and just tears through stuff. that power supply is a MENACE though. anyone got any ideas on what to do with this 163v dc power supply I got now? lol ... show more
