I was recommended this through a post pregnancy/mom support fb page. And I am soooo sooooo grateful for that gal. THIS stuff is magic 😩 I already have fine and thin Asian hair, but when I get to the post partum hair loss stage- not only do they come out in clumps but I have easily visible bald spots (good thing I’m married and child support is expensive JK) Seriously this hair oil has managed to not only speed UP my hair growth but it’s also helped with areas where my hair has been thinning for years! It does have a strong smell, not bad, but if you have a sensitive nose I’d just have a fan running while you leave in. I kinda like the smell myself. I also love that after you shower, there isn’t a lot leftover residue, which through my own experience other oils have left, even after a good lather and rinse. Great product, even better if you’re post partum.

Doesn’t smell that good, but a good oil: my hair is softer and has grew since using it. Doesn’t leave any left over residue nor is it hard to get out of Your hair. The oil does recommend shampooing and conditioning with the Dabur products but I used my regular products and this oil. No issues.

Just like everyone that thought this oil would make your hair grow, so did I. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for me. After about 2-3weeks of using this product, I began to see bald spots on my head (see pics). I immediately stopped using the oil and went back to my natural options (raw coconut oil, “Now” and Shea oil). The bald spots started off as small as a penny, then eventually kept growing with time. Since the bald spots kept growing weeks after I stopped the use of this product, I started feeling depressed thinking I had Alopecia (a disease that eats at your hair). My bald spots often became very dry/flaky, forcing me to moisturize it at least twice/day. I recently went to Swedish hospital and my doctor told me that I in fact do not have Alopecia which was a huge relief. The doctor told me that I have a fungus and provided me medication. I am hoping and praying that my hair will one day grow back thick and strong as it used to be. I have not stepped a foot outside without a hat on my head since the first time I spotted my bald spots in early May. 😭😭. I wish I would have stuck with my natural products instead of using this damn oil with all these damn chemicals/dyes! I will post pics of the beginning stage and now. There’s about 4-5 bald spots/damaged areas on my head. #Holisticlife!

I’m absolutely floored by this oil. I have type 3c/4a hair and majority of my life my hair has been recovering from a perm, dry, brittle, broken and heat damaged. I big chopped in 2017-2018 and eventually achieved longer, thicker, luscious and primarily healthy hair (i box dyed it to a lighter color in 2018 and 2019). Unfortunately, I started working at a fancy job and decided to straighten it for 6 months without properly caring for it. Afterwards, I traveled the entire summer in heat, still straightening it, and eventually fried it. It started falling out more, thinning, breaking easier. It really scared me so I cut it. All the color out all the damage. Once again, started straightening it and damaged it some more. At that point I decided to just chop all the damaged hair out no matter the length and now it’s thin, see through and limp on the left side and thick, curly and healthy on the right. With one more silk press my hair has become its utmost driest and weakest. So, this is me restarting on my hair and it’s proper maintenance again. I went from mid back length to above shoulder length hair. I’ve been struggling to find a way to keep it moisturized and this oil was a REAL game changer. I’m mixed; Samoan, Black and White so my hair texture has always been extremely dense at the roots, thin at the ends, dry and itchy (especially without proper moisture and maintenance). However, using this oil in my hot oil treatment it absorbed so quick and easy. I heated up the oil for about 20mins and sprayed rice water on my hair before applying the AMLA oil. My hair ate it right up. I’m now sitting under my heated cap 20 mins later writing this review. I have high hopes for the turn out after i’ve washed my hair and can already tell it’s going to be so soft and moisturized (of course with proper maintenance and styling). Also I love the smell, it smells great to me idk what everyone’s talking about lol. It is very potent though, so if you’re not used to potent spices or smells this can be intense. If you have low porosity hair make sure to DAMPEN your hair before applying and massaging otherwise it’s just going to feel greasy and dry. Make sure the oil is hot too, make sure your hands are warm, make sure everything is heated but not too hot. The products sink into your hair like butter. Highly recommend this oil. Now thinking of using other products recommended by them to use in their hair care routine.

’m not a fan of the smell of this amla oil — it’s very strong and not pleasant to me. I’ve been using it consistently for a while, and I haven’t noticed any hair growth yet. The oil itself feels okay and isn’t too heavy, but because of the scent and the lack of visible results so far, I can’t say it’s worked for me personally. I may continue using it to see if results improve over time, but as of now, I haven’t seen a difference.
