I love these. They are easy to install. They are easy to use. They open and close easily. they stay closed. Most importantly, they keep the cords neat and out of little kitties gnawing capability. Just brought some more to use on my son's desk for his new computer. I have not tried painting them because the black ones are perfect for the places they are going but I feel they should take paint as easily as any other plastic - probably need a couple of coats but if you want them to blend in - I think it will work. I used a PVC pipe cutter to cut them in appropriate lengths. Seemed to work well. The ones on my desk have been installed for a couple of years and nobody has fallen off.

Be aware the adhesive is super strong. You get only one chance to position it!! It will take the paint off the wall if you try to adjust or move it. First put it in location and later push the cords in through the slit that goes entire length. It’s harder to position perfectly when cords are in IMHO. Also notice there is an up and down for each. Because you place it so the slit is as you wish, (slit should be down) and if you’re placing two alongside each other, the slits need to be in the same direction. Installation needs to be thought and planned carefully where you want it and take your time with placement. Like I said, it sticks super hard and you just can’t even adjust it a fraction of an inch once it’s stuck on. All this being said, I absolutely love the product because it hides my ugly cords from my TV. I bought the smaller and larger diameter ones just to make sure I was covered and one of using the larger size. Placed just along top of baseboard.

I am more than happy with this product. There were 3 black cords hanging from the TV that drove me nuts looking at them! I purchased this product thinking it’s got to look better than it does now! i used to hide cords in my kitchen. I redid the kitchen with outlets under the cabinet. I keep my appliances plugged in and seeing the cords hang down drove me crazy. I bot this to cover the black cords and then painted the one to blend in with the speckled back splash. looks amazing. it opens so it will work when I get new appliances.... YEAH !! easy affordable fix....

I did like it, but it was so stiff hard to put in the cord. Didn’t realize that once you took off the tape release that it really stuck to the wall. Make sure you know where it goes before you apply it because it’s hard to get off.

I bought this to hide/protect 3 feet of USB cable that runs along the floor at the entrance to my shower from my cat water fountain (see pic). Works perfectly for my purpose without glueing down. NOTE: I HAD ordered the .78" wide one originally because the cable is so thin; HOWEVER, if you also need to hide the USB connector end part, the .78" was a little too narrow so I ordered this 1.18" wide version and it fits perfectly, cord, extension, and connector.
