For only about $80 currently, this is a great deal for an excellent motorcycle helmet, and it's quickly become my favorite for quite a few reasons. If you're looking for a premium budget helmet, this is the one I'd choose, hands-down! This helmet has all the features you'd want to see in a helmet without any added-in bloat or useless features, and on top of that it's extremely well-made. It looks incredibly solid and high-quality, and it also feels that way, because it is. The outer shell opens up at the bottom front, which makes it easy to fit on and to reach in and adjust any of your gear, or even just get some fresh air. Despite that, it's very solid, as the opening portion hooks onto solid metal bars that connect to the helmet's frame. Inside the helmet, it's nice and cozy; a perfect fit, with fully removable and washable fabric, and the standard one-impact foam you'll be familiar with if you've had helmets before. It's a snug but breathable fit, especially if you open up the vents on the front and top; and you can even open up the outer visor if you're not riding but need to keep the helmet on, since both the outer and inner visor are pretty simple to flip up and down while wearing with a bit of practice. The strap to adjust the chin strap is pretty easy to adjust (make sure you adjust it first while it's off), and the ratchet mechanism holds the helmet in place very securely. There's also a spare (extra) outer visor included, which is a shaded one, in case the inner flip-down sun visor isn't enough for your needs. Personally I generally find the inner visor provides plenty of sun protection. Even the holding bag it comes with is good, a nice mesh that lets your helmet air out while still keeping it protected. The only downsides I can find are very minor. The foam, as on almost every helmet, is only good for one impact, so you need to get a new one after any time you crash. The instructions for removing the inner liner (the washable fabric) could also be a bit more clear, they really could have used more words and pictures. You can figure it out with a little bit of work, but it still isn't explained super clearly on its own. You can see there are clips and sockets that need to fit into place in the helmet, I recommend taking pictures as you go in case you forget the order you did certain steps in. * I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using often. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

I received this helmet through the vine program with pretty low expectations. I am quite picky with motorcycle helmets and to be honest I have yet to find the perfect helmet but this Cyril helmet is quite good for a budget friendly helmet. It has a lot of features you generally dont see at this price point. I will start with the things I really like about it. Its surprisingly comfortable! The padding inside is really nice. One thing to note is its slightly larger than a typical large size. For me this is fantastic. I am kinda in-between sizes on helmets. A large is generally kinda tight and an XL is too big. This one being ever so slightly over sized makes it fit my head perfectly! I have had it for a few weeks now and find myself grabbing it over my much more expensive helmets simply because it is more comfortable. I realize this might be a negative for a lot of people but if your like me and your head is in-between sizes this would be a great option. The second feature i really like about it is the stability at high speeds. Anyone that rides a bike with no windshield or a small windshield knows the affects of air turbulence fatigue. This helmet is really stable at high speeds. Once again something you dont generally get at a lower price point. Cyril gets an A+ on aerodynamics from me! Other positive notes. It comes with a clear and a tinted face shield. Always nice to have options. The helmet bag it comes with is a nice touch as well. Now for the few issues I have with it. Most helmets you are able to slightly open and click the face shield into the locks so that you get some air flow while in town or at low speeds. On this helmet the first click on the visor puts the bottom right in your field of view. Not really allowing the visor to be used as a vent. Its pretty much fully open or fully closed. The helmet does have vents in the nose/chin area along with the forehead area that can be opened and closed so for me personally its not that big of a deal. Second issue I have is the flip up lower half of the helmet. When closing I almost have to slam it shut to get it to lock down. Once its locked it is very solid but this could result in the helmet not being fully closed if the rider isn't aware of it. Not a huge issue but worth noting. I would rather have to slam it and get a good tight lock up than have it close easy and have a sloppy loose fit. This might get easier as the helmet brakes in as well. Time will tell. And lastly the weight. This helmet is noticeably heavier than most of my others. I wish I had a scale to weigh it on to give an exact number but i would guess it's 1-1.5lbs heavier than my next heaviest helmet. Once again personally not a big issue for me but I know some people wouldn't appreciate this. All in all I think this helmet is a really good value for a budget friendly option. I will definitely recommend it to new riders that maybe can't spend big money on a helmet right away. As i said before it has a lot of features you dont usually get at this price point if you can overlook the small issues it does have. I hope this review helps interested buyers. I will update if any issues arise as I continue to wear it.
