  • Decent Product: Cannot be used with a bike cover
It (or any other stand like it and there are several advertised on Amazon) cannot be used properly with a bike cover since that can't be pulled over the front wheel once it's inserted into the stand. To use a bike cover buy one of the products which only holds the bottom of the wheel. A reviewer for that product however noted that it puts pressure on the spokes, which this type of design does not. Update 5?2016: You can use a bike cover, it just takes some doing. You need to pull the bike cover on and then very slowly roll the bike into the stand taking care to not tear the cover. Ditto for removing it. Downside of using a bike cover - the bike is much more prone to toppling on a windy day, and the stand slides sideways unable to stop that from happening. It's well made, and the side frame is a square section which is nice, I couldn't see that clearly in the ad. I chose this one over other similar products since the bolts attaching the side frames to the 4 horizontal poles, fit from the side, not the top, and I found that to be a cleaner design. The product could be improved and really set its self apart from the others if a) they drilled small weep holes at the bottom of the horizontal poles and side frames so that moisture can escape if it's used outdoors, and b) if they supply small bolt on rubber feet (the kind that you get for furniture) to raise it off wet paving outdoors. It's not that it won't work outdoors (I'm using it outside) just that it's a product that works really well for indoors and they (like all the other manufacturers) are too lazy to think about what will make it work better for outdoors. Installation tip: the instructions ask you to raise the center assembly upright before bolting the first side frame. if you're doing this alone, that's just silly and impractical, you'll need three hands. You can bolt the side frame on even with the center assembly is still laying flat on the floor. So a pointless instruction. It's much easier to bolt the two side frames first, then raise the center assembly. Also, don't tighten the bolts and allow the assembly some 'play', and once they're all in turn it on it's sides and tighten them. Use tip: It (probably like all the others) is not very heavy so with one bike it can slide out of position if the bike tips over sideways - which is a problem with this kind of design, even with similar heavy duty bike stands in public areas which do not provide a front wheel holder at the bottom. Put the bike in the center, keep it straight, and hope that no one bumps into it. ... show more

  • ALMOST FIVE STARS
Color: Matte Black
I would like to give this stand 5 stars but it was hard to assemble and it only holds 5 adult bikes...not 6...but it is still a good value for the money and I would recommend it to other bike riders

  • Good rack to lock multiple bikes to.
We purchased this bike rack to hold multiple bikes. We are in a safe area ( where a lock, keeps an honest man honest) so we just needed something where we could lock multiple bikes together and to a rack. We found it easier to put 3 bikes in the middle and a bike at each end on the outside. We sprayed the bike rack with a few coats Seal Flex black rubberized coating to seal all the areas where the pipes meet the rack, after it was put together . We did this because it rains in our area and we didn't want water to ruin or fill the rack. It served the purpose for what we needed - somewhere to store bikes upright , holding a variety of different types of bikes, and discouraging someone from walking off with the bikes. We put two bikes front wheel in and one bike backed in between those two in the middle and then attached two bikes on the outside of the rack, one on each end of the rack. Then ran bike cable locks to lock the inside bikes together and the heavy duty U locks on the ends to lock those bikes to the rack. ... show more

  • Great for scooter storage!
Perfect for our scooters. While in quarantine my husband and I both got scooters along with our kids. But storing them is a pain in the ass because we don’t have a garage or a covered area. I bought this rack initially hoping I could back the scooters into it but the bolts and stuff get in the way and they fall over. When I tried to take out a bar or two it just wouldn’t hold them up. We have 3 razor scooters (adult size) and one toddler micro mini. I was about to take it apart and re-package to send back when I realized if I just fold the scooters up and then place them over the top bar they stay in place. They’re a little snug to get over the bar but once over the wheels catch in the slots and they easily stand up side-by-side. By doing this I’m able to put our extra toddler bike cover over it and clip it down so that they don’t get ruined in our weather. We live by the beach so we have a lot of damp nights and without being fully covered our scooters have started to rust. I am super happy with this product and how we are able to use it for scooter storage. I expect to have it for as long as we have the scooters! ... show more

  • It's ok . . .
I received this produce and I could tell that someone else had opened the package and removed the piece they must have needed. I reached out to amazon and they got me in touch with the vendor who quickly replaced the missing part. The only problem was that the new part didn't fit perfectly and then the screws that were provided didn't fit. I have a lot of tools and screws on hand, so I was able to find something to make the entire product fit together. As far as the number of bikes that it can hold, I would say 3 adult bikes only. We are a family of 5 with 5 adult bikes and 1 kid bike. It can only accommodate 3 of the adult bikes. I guess it is a good thing that the kid bike still has training wheels, so it can stand independently next to the stand. ... show more

  • If you have the space, this works well
This is a good option if you want a stable, easy to use floor rack. This rack allows you to load bikes from both sides and it works well with disc brake bikes. The rack has a very simple and stable design. It's not really big enough for six adult bikes, but it works very well with four bikes. Loading bikes on both sides obviously takes up a lot of room, but that's true of any floor option. ... show more

  • Won't fit 3 bikes easily
This is a fine bike stand, my kids are 7 and 9, we have three bikes. My daughters larger bike when placed with the two smaller bikes is not an easy fit. It works, but you can't easily maneuver them in and out. My kids will opt to leave the bikes on the garage floor rather than try....maybe a function of lazy kids more than the bike stand. I should say that we are inserting the bikes from one side only, would be better is one put in the back with two offset in the front. ... show more
