The Eternis S All-In-One car seat offers three stages in one-easy to use car seat that grows with your child and provides up to 10 years of use. With the included newborn insert, the Eternis S can be used with newborns as small as 4 lbs. up to children weighing 120 lbs. or 57 inches tall. The Eternis S features seamless transitions between three modes: a rear-facing car seat for infants up to 50 lbs., a forward-facing seat, and finally a belt-positioning high-back booster seat. The Eternis S provides a comfortable and safe ride for your child at every stage. Our patented 3-position reclining headrest helps prevent your child’s head from falling forward during naps on the go. With 12 positions, the headrest can be easily adjusted as your child grows. Our Linear Side Impact Protection (L.S.P.) System absorbs up to 25% more impact forces in certain crashes when compared to the same car seat without L.S.P. extended. An energy-absorbing car seat shell further protects your child. I loved the safety features and all the extra padding, etc. Plus Amazon had it on sale. It gets here in three days, box was beat to hades, but inside everything was still plastic wrapped, zip tied, etc. It’s so nice. Cadillac nice. Black Lincoln nice. The padding is amazing, you don’t have to re-thread the harness, and the level indicator is a lovely added touch. I especially loved the L.S.P. feature, it just makes me feel better even if it sounds gimmicky. However, it’s extremely hard to install. I have a newer Kia Sorento so it’s not the smallest SUV, but you wouldn’t know it putting this thing in. The best rear facing level we could get was a 3, (1 is for newborns for reference) and even though my daughter is almost a year, I would have liked to get it to a 2. The anchors would never tighten down to where I felt they were safe. I know you can only use them to 35 lbs, but we couldn’t even use them for a little while. With the seat belt, it’s super tight and secure but the lock off feature is almost impossible to engage unless your husband manhandles it, and even then he could only get it halfway. When it’s all said and done, she’s very comfortable and it’s easy getting her in and out of the vehicle. But I dread having to fix it if for whatever reason it gets knocked out of position or must be moved. All in all, behind the driver’s seat (I’m 5’6”) was where we got it safely in and leveled properly. It would not fit in the middle, and the passenger side worked, but the front passenger seat had to be moved so far up, my husband couldn’t get in. Was it the easiest to to install? No. But should a car seat really be super easy to install? I don’t think so. My son in law and I installed this in 15 minutes. Most of that was finding the latch points in my SUV. I love the reinforced construction and my grandson seems to love riding in it. It’s also A LOT easier ti get him out of the Cybex car seat than it is getting him out of the Graco. Would definitely purchase again! ... show more

We got this seat because we needed one in each car and it was a good deal. Should have assumed there was a good reason it was on sale. Car seat looks fine, however that’s where the positive ends. There is a very hard plastic piece…I don’t even know what it’s purpose is…in the mid-back/lumbar area of the seat. Our son hates it. And no wonder. It’s incredibly rigid and not supporting anything. He looks like his back is arched when he sits in the seat. The straps are easily twisted and there are no internal mechanisms to stop them from being twisted. As others have said the latch belt seems impossible to safely tighten; there is still a huge amount of movement when they’re as tight as possible. We had to switch to the seat belt. There are these pop out “safety features” on the outside of the car seat. I hope we never have to know if they work or not, so can’t say if that’s just a gimmick or not. They’re only if the car seat is not in the middle. Our chicco fit4 does not have that “feature” and we are SO MUCH happier with that purchase. Unfortunately we can’t return this car seat because Amazon left it on our front steps in the rain ruining the box. So looks like we will just be donating it. That’s how disappointed we are with the purchase. Straight to goodwill. Find somewhere where you can go and look and touch this car seat before buying. I did a ridiculous amount of research on car seats! This is literally the most incredible car seat we have ever owned! It weighs a ton but installation is super easy and my toddler loves it! Calls it the comfy chair! Seriously great product! We will buy all Cybex moving forward

So yes, we love this car seat. We have this one, graco extend to fit, and nuna rava. The cybex is great but the clips to get the bottom in and out are difficult to press and maneuver.
