Absolutely 100% worth it!! After reading SO many negative reviews, I was honestly contemplating just buying another car seat for my mama who keeps my baby while I'm at work. I went ahead and ordered this just to try it out, and I AM SO GLAD!!! I actually LOVE that it is different from the original base! My mom doesn't always want the wheels on, so I can let her choose whether she wants to include the wheels that day or not!     • DO NOT BUY! READ THIS!
You will no longer be able to remove the seat by removing the wheels. In addition, there is a mysterious rod that causes intense pain in your hands when placing the stroller on the base. It's the worst product I've ever bought, but we have no alternative, so we have no choice but to buy it.

Shyft Dualride Base is the complete accessory to the DualRide. The Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo is top of the line, from Evenflo, a brand moms have trusted for decades. It’s unique in as much as when wheels are down it’s a easy ride stroller, and when wheels are up if’s a fully functioning, safety car seat. Evenflo’s engineers and designers worked together to fulfill requests from owners of the DualRide to create a separate base so that moving the carrier from one car to the other would be seamless. And now they have. My daughter loves her DualRide and has used it for both of her little ones, but moving it from one car to the other was the easy part, fastening it in took some time to ensure it was safely secured. I ordered this with her in mind and heard from her that the DualRide base is heaven sent. It’s now as simple as unclipping the carrier from one car and snapping it into the base in the second. She had contemplated buying a second DualRide but couldn’t afford to do so. There is tremendous value to just having the base in one of the cars. At nearly 15 pounds it’s a bit of a tug, but once fastened into the second vehicle the base is intended to remain there. It can be set in with or without the wheels attached. Who likes removing car seats bases and installing them in new vehicles? No one, of course. At $189 (as of April 2025), this one isn’t cheap—but it’s solid, safer than the original (no wheels!), and buying peace of mind for my (de facto) niece was worth every penny. PROs: (+) Rock-solid construction and easy, secure install (+) No wheels = less bulk and fewer headaches (+) Lets you swap cars without uninstalling the whole contraption (+) Meets all the safety standards you want when transporting precious cargo CONs: (–) Pricey, but so is everything that says “baby” on the box. Besides—do you really want to pinch pennies when your child’s life is at stake?
