Note: this review is from the perspective of the PC version of the game. I simply ordered the PS4 Collector's Edition because I wanted it so badly and it was the only one in stock. Pros: - Extremely detailed and gorgeous open world. - Strong RPG elements and V is customizable, though the options are somewhat lacking. - Combat and driving mechanics passable. Guns carry weight and feel good. - Diverse options for combat and freedom to approach objectives from any angle. - No end of things to do. Side activities can get monotonous (like "?" objectives in the Witcher 3), but full-fledged side quests feel like their own mini-stories. - Engrossing main storyline, great voice acting, and terrific writing. Dialogue features branching paths. - Keanu Reeves!!! Cons: - Builds are important for higher difficulties and it can take some getting used to when it comes to learning the systems. - Bugs bugs bugs. While I personally have had virtually no experiences with major bugs to speak of, others I know have. It's much, much better on PC than consoles, but still needs some patching. - Vehicles and V's apartment are NOT customizable. Many suspect CDPR will add this as free DLC/update down the road. - Eddies (currency in-game) can be hard to come by unless you're extremely frugal and/or don't mind grinding side activities to get loot and rewards. Bottom Line: It's not perfect by any means, but as far as the PC version goes, it's completely playable and when it's at its best, it's one of the most entertaining video games I've ever played. For fans of RPG and open world titles, this is a must play. Though if you play on console (specifically last gen models of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), I'd wait a month or so until they iron out the wrinkles. ... show more

I’m reviewing the content of the Collector’s Edition and not necessarily the game. I’m rarely impressed by packaging, but this feels very nice and substantial. There’s a smaller package inside that looks like an in-game container, with smaller ones inside containing the stickers, pins, patches, Etc. The hardcover book is very nice, with some background to many of the things in the game setting, a “coffee table” book. The sticker pack are... stickers. Kinda small but there are tons of them. The patches are also on the small side (not tiny, though) but with high quality embroidery. Pins are also nice, following the overall feel of the Collector’s Edition. Not undersized, exactly what I feel they should be. Only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the keychain. It is a very heavy antiqued silver replica of “the” in-game car. Roughly the same size as a 1:64 car, and the wheels spin. Nothing wrong with it, someone else may like it as it is well made and feels substantial, but not something I would personally keep hanging from my keys. The statue is the crown jewel and what most people are interested in from the set. It’s vinyl or PVC or something like that, but very detailed. The one I received has an excellent paint job, I love it. The base is weighted and it is rather tall. Very happy with it. ... show more

Yes I was aware of the problems this game had on launch day for consoles, I originally bought the game on PC. After dumping 40+ hours into the game on Launch Weekend I decided to buy this collectors edition for my PS5 so I had a physical copy of the game as well as something to show my appreciation for the game. Everything was in excellent condition and I truly have no complaints about the physical product itself. As of the time writing this review I have no experienced any issues with the game itself on my first gen PS4. However a bit of an irritating problem I did run into was space required to install the game. I cleared 60GB off my 500GB HDD, it started to download/install, then stopped itself stating I needed to clear another 37GB before it could continue. Other than that issue, I have no complaints and would highly recommend this game to anyone.... when they fix the bugs of course lol ... show more
