I like it! It was very easy to sight-in and came with the necessary tools to attach it and make adjustments. The reticle is powered on/off by a small pad on the left side. Press repeatedly to cycle through several brightness options and a switch located at the back selects any of 4 different reticle images. I believe the lens has an anti-glare coating to allow the user to see clearly in many lighting conditions however, from the front side it is highly reflective which may be counterproductive under certain circumstances. It seems to be of good quality and could be used with an iron forward sight for greater confidence and easier tuning but I like it without. I was able to center it within 5 rounds to a target 30 yards out. I’ve put nearly two hour of use to it and have not had to change batteries yet. It has an auto shut off feature as well. This has performed just as well as my other “Big Name Brand” sight at a fraction of the cost and with more functions. 2026/4/24 Update: It has been several months now since I first purchased the CVLife Reflex Sight. The batteries are still working effectively. My “big name” sight power drains the batteries (unless I remove them) within a week of storage. I’ve range tested this sight with 1500 rounds of 9mm on my S&W Carbine before giving it a try on my M&P15 NATO. It handles the recoil very well and I’ve spent 1000 more rounds. After the first 500 using the new caliber, the mark did shift slightly left. A minuscule tweak with the supplied hex key and it was spot on again at 100 yards. I’ll be keeping an eye on the shifting, but when I can sight in and ring out a bullseye at 100 yards with a single magazine, I cannot complain at this price point. I’ll try to come back with another update after a couple more range visits. I generally spend 250 to 500 each trip depending on the time I have. I have other arms I practice with and I’m not sure if this sight can handle being mounted to my M&P10 NATO, but for the price I might try it and just buy another if it fails the intense recoil hammering. I see a newer model that features an internal USB rechargeable battery but my experiences with those have not been great. Keep in mind, it’s good maintenance practice to retighten all your fittings after so many uses, which may also require realignment. I go by round count for both cleaning and tightening, but I will re-clean when unused for longer than 3 months. You should also readjust your sight whenever you remove/replace it. 2026/8/2026 Update: I’ve decided to make a permanent home for this sight on my M&P9 Response PCC. It handled being attached to my M&P15 NATO very well. I did need to readjust the L-R position shortly after switching it between the two ARs but after tweaking it a little, it held solid. I believe you just need to fire a few rounds before finalizing the adjustments. Disturbing the mount throws it off slightly and firing off a couple rounds seems to help it settle into place for a finer adjustment. I’m very happy with the results I get using this sight. My groupings are tight on target even on my worst days. My hands sometimes shake from arthritis but I can still maintain control of my shots. If I could change anything, it would be the reticle beam color from red to the brighter green light frequencies. Green is easier to see in daylight scenarios. The red illuminated reticle does actually adjust to a very bright red, so no stars lost on that topic. I’m just being picky because I like green better. Each of my rifles are of different calibers and I have different styles of sights mounted on each of them. I feel the variety helps make me a better marksman. For most, anticipated recoil is their greatest downfall. This sight is non magnifying and therefore it made more sense to place it on a shorter ranged carbine. It is also not a bad idea to use a bore sight when making adjustments for the first time. I consider the 21 foot rule when making the initial adjustments, but recommend using a typical distance that you fire from at the range. Align your reticle to overlap the dot cast from the bore sight.

🆕 UPDATE: the firearm and sight have been stored for a few months and just completed a functionality test - THE SIGHT ILLUMINATED PERFECTLY AFTER STORAGE! Heading to the range! ORIGINAL POST: Just mounted this CVLIFE REFLEX SIGHT Optic on my Henry .22 Pump Action Octagonal Barrel Model H003 Rifle using the LONSEL Dovetail to Picatinny Rail Adapter 11mm Dovetail to 21mm Picatinny Rail Convert Mount - Low Profile Scope Riser Rail Adaptor and love it. Wanted an inexpensive alternative to iron sites. My indoor range allows for .22 Rifle @ Approximately 20 yards so my dial in information might not please all readers. Fired .22LR Velocitors and .22 Shorts. The range is a bit dark and my iron sights were not easy to use so I took a chance with this setup. Installation is simple, connection to rifle is secure, adjustments are easy to make, the sight is bright enough and has a variety of sites and illuminations to select, remained true after 100+ rounds. DOES NOT ‘Shake Awake!’ Similar accuracy to my ability with iron sights but with faster target acquisition. Arrived in secure packaging, two sets of batteries, lens cloth and adjusting tools. I have experience with the Romeo X Red Dot Optic on .380 handgun and while this less expensive alternative might not be appropriate for that application I think it’s perfect for this .22 Henry Rifle. Photos of firearms are generally prohibited so subjectively I think the setup looks aesthetically appropriate on my rifle. Might visit our local outdoor range and try 50 and 100 yards. Very good recommendation for this product. Hope that this review is helpful/useful.☮️

3 ½ is my actual rating. its not the worst but its certainly not the best. if youre a noob like me, this will suffice to getting acquainted with an opitc on a rifle platform. in my case i have a psa-15, so it fit well on the picatinny top rail of the receiver. looked good too, but im just a beginner and i knew going into this purchase this would be a learning tool. used it at the range with practice rounds and couldnt really get my zero with it. i messed around with the windage dials maybe too much trying to figure it out. started at 25 yards indoor and used a laser sighted to my irons roughly with 2-3 yard +/- difference. i sighted my reticle to it, and got consistent low shots from my 'zero' and left to mangle the windage knobs. i found that depending on what recital you prefer style wise, it can perfect on one and be off on different one. this is due to an ever so slightly off dial switch they use for this. HOWEVER, the only reason i took the half star off was cause during post cleaning of the bolt, carrier and receiver, i hit a few dry fires and the bolt vibrated the reticle no longer held a self zero. in simpler terms, just dry firing the rifle off-set the parallax (reticle shook visually at low vibrations). it kinda returns after the hammer strikes, but even in my novice skill i know thats not 100% reliable. up until that point it was decent to use at the range and i would consider trying another product like a red dot and 3x optic combo to help my distance issue. goal is to be use these products as fluently as i can so i can become a better marksmen. gotta start somewhere and this wasnt entirely a bad start for me. they do kinda hype it up, but if you know what youre doing this might be a steal

Honestly impressed. Especially for the money. I bought this as a joke and put it on a 12 gauge….. it’s held up fabulously.

I bought this primarily as an experiment. Most of my shooting is centered around longer-range precision work, so I'm much more familiar with traditional magnified optics than reflex sights. I've been curious about red dots for a while, but wasn't ready to spend several hundred dollars on a premium optic without first figuring out whether the format actually fit my shooting style. For that purpose, this has worked out very well. The sight feels surprisingly well made for the price. Construction seems solid, installation was straightforward, and so far it has performed exactly as I hoped. I can't speak to long-term durability or whether it will still be holding zero years from now, but my initial impression has been positive. What I like: * affordable entry point into red dots * feels durable and reasonably well constructed * easy to mount and use * allows for very fast target acquisition * good way to evaluate whether a reflex sight fits your needs One thing prospective buyers should be aware of is astigmatism. I have astigmatism and knew going in that there was a chance the dot would appear blurry or distorted. In my case, it does. That's not necessarily a criticism of the optic, though. People with astigmatism often see starbursts, smears, or irregular dot shapes even through very expensive red dots. Since this is my first real experience with a reflex sight, I can't honestly say how much of what I'm seeing is the optic and how much is simply my eyes. What I can say is that despite the imperfect dot, the sight has still been perfectly usable and has given me a much better understanding of why so many shooters prefer red dots for certain applications. I originally purchased this as a low-risk way to test the concept before investing in a higher-end optic. So far, it's done exactly that and may end up convincing me that a premium red dot belongs in my future. If you're curious about reflex sights but aren't ready to commit to the price of a top-tier optic, this seems like a reasonable place to start.

The red dot is just a badly drawn red blob. It looks like it was colored in with a pen. Worst red dot I have ever seen. It was so bad I immediately took it off.

I had low expectations for this, but it blew me out of the water. Only took one mag to sight it in for 50 yds, and it has held ever since, over 1500 rounds later. (I put it on my rf-15 chambered in 5.56 for reference). Battery has lasted for that long too, no signs of running out. It's also made with surprisingly decent materials, I've dropped my rifle a few times and it still held zero just fine. My roommate has a $350 holosun, and this sight is brighter (by a lot), the reticle is a bit smaller (ideal size in my opinion), and it just looks nicer if you aren't super familiar with optics. I can't believe I almost listened to people who said cheap optics are always trash... Unless you are shooting 100+ yards away, shooting competitively, or have a super expensive rifle, I see no reason to bother buying a $350+ optic when this thing exists.

It’s ok for the price. Becomes inaccurate as you get to the top half and the upper corners. In the video, the green dot is a boresight laser and the firearm is not being touched at all. You can see it’s pretty accurate at the bottom half and to the bottom left and right corners. But it’s very inaccurate in the top half especially the top right and left. Overall it’s fine for the money (~$30). Build quality is good. I like the buttons and different reticle options and brightness settings. I think this would be better suited for airsoft vs use on a firearm to be honest. But it’s ok
