I have about 200 rounds of .223 on this scope and so far so good! My range is less than 300 yards so this scope easily covers everything I can hit. The etched reticle means I don't worry about batteries and the marks are always there. It's not light but it's not overly heavy for a less expensive scope. I don't see any color casting and the glass is decently clear and sharp. The scope is light of features but works well where it counts. The eye relief is really good for a scope in this range. For what you get, this is a great scope where it counts.

I have been buying, ordering and using CV Life scopes for the past 4+ years and I honestly think this is their best “higher priced budget scope”. You finally get some real eye relief. So far it has gone through over 500rds .22LR, 200ish rds heavy duty high power break barrel air rifle and exactly 100 rds through 9mm rifle. It held zero without fail. I was starting to lose faith in CV because of failed scopes and other gear in the past but this particular scope is on its way to being an excellent deal.

This was a good match for my .177 break barrel adult air rifle. Comes with everything you need, scope - lens caps - mounting rings. Mounted well on my previously installed mounting system. I found it easy to sight in and the picture clarity was pretty good. This scope is on par with other scopes in this price range. I have no idea how it will hold up on an actual firearm but for my needs it's fine. Note that the front lens cap screws on and is integrated into the site. The rear lens cap pulls off and on.. All in all it's a decent value scope with a lot of features for the money...

I installed the CVLIFE JackalHowl 3-9 power scope on my airsoft sniper rifle, so this review cannot speak to its durability on an actual firearm. I was impressed with the quality of the JackalHowl scope. It’s a rather large optic with a moderate amount of weight to it. The finish on the scope appears to be durable and is more of a matte black color. I appreciated the scope coming with flip up caps to cover the lenses. The scope also came with mounting rings. The rings seemed a little cheap, but worked just fine for putting the JackalHowl on my airsoft rifle. The clarity of the glass was decent and much better than I expected. I really like the appearance of the reticle with the bullet drop compensation marks on it. The ring to adjust the magnification power was stiff to operate, but smooth like it should be. When sighting my airsoft rifle in, I liked how positive the adjustment clicks were on the turrets. Although I am unsure how the scope would hold up if it was to be mounted on a centerfire rifle, I’m sure would be more than adequate to be used on any 22LR. I’m quite happy with how the scope looks mounted on my airsoft rifle. It definitely gave my sniper rifle the function and “tacticool” look I was hoping for.

This is the third scope I have from CVLife, and I am very happy with it. The glass is crystal clear, and you get minimal glare from the coated lenses. The downside to this is that you have to remove your caps entirely to make adjustments to windage and elevation, so try not to loos them. This is a good size scope, and given the quality and clarity of the lenses, you'd expect it to be heavier than it actually is. It's also pretty rugged. It's got a good solid feel and all of the adjustment knobs and turrets require very deliberate manipulation to move, so I expect this to hold zero fairly well. I'm going to be mounting this on one of my long range uppers for my 51Fifty AR platform and I expect it to do very well in that capacity. The Flip Up's are a nice touch, but I just wish they had clear lenses in them instead of blackout.

If you are looking for something for a range gun this will be just fine. You can get a clear sight picture on all magnifications but you will have to adjust the focus ring even when making small magnification adjustments. The mount rings do not get the scope high enough for my comfort. You have to remove the caps to make any windage or elevation adjustments.

This is a non-illuminated 3-9 scope. It's solidly made and held zero when tested. The glass is nice and clear, and distortion is minimal (tiny bit around the edges, hardly noticeable.) The windage and elevation knobs are tuned for 1/4" at 100 yards. They are a bit mushy but they work and do have definite clicks when adjusted. Scope covers are included and are opaque. I was impressed by the short focal distance on this - you can see the one photo I took of a box where I zoomed in and could read the text on it. That box was only about 10 feet away. Clarity at distance was equally good. The eye box on this scope is a little more finicky than some other scopes (even from this same manufacturer.) The relief is a bit over 3 inches but you have to get it exactly lined up or you get a tunnel vision sight picture. It works totally fine once you get it right. The magnification ring turns well and holds without slippage. The scope rings came preinstalled, which I thought was a nice touch. Then I realized they were installed in the wrong place; i.e. they didn't line up with the rail I mounted it on (standard Picatinny.) I had to shift one ring over. They also put some double-sided tape as a bumper to keep the scope from shifting. Again, it would have been fine if the rings had been in the right spots. This doesn't detract from the scope's operation and is perhaps me being nitpicky, but I'm just noting all the goods and the minor bads of this scope. Overall, it's good and will certainly get the job done; I think especially considering the price point that this is a good scope for the money.
