If it's a bright day and you have any white background, it gets lost real quick if you are trying to aquire your target quickly(steel challenge is what I was wanting to use this for.) I have purchased many CVLife products and they used to be a good value for the price, but lately I keep getting defective or returned items sold as new. This is the 3rd or 4th of several different CVLife optic orders that I've gotten which was an obvious return and missing everything except the optic itself. It's like they don't even check inside the box before shipping a return off to the next unsuspecting buyer. I purchased two of these units, in the Gray color, for Christmas gifts. I only make this comparison due to having two units. Upon receiving both units, I checked out to assure they functioned. Both units operate WITHOUT A BATTERY, ON SOLAR POWER ONLY! But, one unit only shows the Red Dot. The other unit shows both the Red Dot And the 40 MOA Circle. With the included battery installed both units work perfectly in both Dot and Circle Dot modes. Both units shake awake and also will auto shut down after a preset time of not being moved. These Eagle Feather models look very good stylish in gray. Each unit comes with included flip up lens caps, and a quick disconnect mount. The dots can be adjusted from very dim (for night shooting) to very bright (for easy day time use). The dot's emitter is not visible to the eye. Now, I prefer a green dot for day time use, but this unit gets bright enough to see very well. For the money, it is going to be hard to beat! I highly recommend it. ... show more
