I ordered this for a Hi-Point 995TS 9mm Carbine. (Pictured in one of the attached images). As most of you will know, this is a very inexpensive firearm, so I did not want to spend money on a scope that was a large portion or more than the cost the firearm itself. My eyes are getting worse and worse and I basically wanted a way to magnify the targets. My eyes are good enough out to about 15 yards, and any more starts getting tough. So I looked around the Budget Optics space. Found lots of Chinese made optics from different manufacturers that looked pretty much the same. Went back and forth between CVLIFE, UUQ, PINTY, BEILESHI brands and all were about the same specs and about the same price point. Went with CVLIFE for the SLIGHLTY better brand name. As it turned out, the scope itself came in generic packaging that just said RIFLE SCOPE (see image). There was a tiny "CVLIFE" on a sticker on the package (see image). On the scope itself, there was NO brand name as I have seen in reviews of other CVLIFE scopes (even the budget ones) just 3-9x40EG, so I guess this is really a generic scope that CVLIFE sells and probably no different from any of the the others I was looking at in this price point. The little instruction manual was very basic and covered several generic scopes. It did not even have any information on the illuminated reticle that came with this scope. There were some errors, referring to the windage adjustment turret as both the RIGHT turret (CORRECT) and LEFT turret (WRONG for this scope). That said, everything was pretty standard and I lucked out and dropped the (included) CR2032 battery in the right way and the reticle lighting worked as advertised. A cheap servicable magifying optic was all I was looking for, so I raise these points on packaging and instructions for informational purposes, not so much as a downside. The included 20mm Scope Rings (Picatinny/Weaver rail) fit perfectly on my Hi-Point rails. Came with an Allen key to tighten down the rings on the body of the scope. As expected, I had to remove the rear sight to make room, but I left the front sight on and the scope is mounted high enough that it wasn't an issue. Scope was a breeze to mount and seemed pretty stable, given the innate flex of the Hi-Point polymer rail. The indoor range I go to has a maximum distance of 25 yards, so that was the distance I zeroed the scope at. It was much harder to zero than I thought. Out of the box it was barely on the paper and it took me a lot of clicking to get anywhere close. Was probably the idiot BEHIND the scope more than the scope itself. I got close and packed it in. Couple of days later I went back and got it zeroed. Was nailing bullseyes at 25 yards consistently. Took it back to the range a week later and shot freehand and it held zero and nailed bullseyes. Oddly, it was shooting a bit low and left when going for headshots (on the paper target) though the point of impact was constantly on. I even put it on a bench rest to check and it was the same. CENTER BULLSEYE dead on. HEAD SHOT off to the left and low. Parallax?? Whatever. I am very happy with my purchase and the scope gave me exactly what I wanted from it for a low price point. 5 Stars for that reason.

Had problems with my first scope the windage would not adjust but CVLIFE customer service fixed it and my new scope works a charm. Nice clear view, illumination is a cool bonus. Magnification is nice also very smooth. Recommend for a budget scope.

Fairly easy to mount and set up, with some caveats. Used a almost new Burris to spot when sighting in, shooting due South early afternoon of a bright sunny late fall day, the CVLife had a bit of contrast loss compared to the Burris - but was still good enough to obtain a decent sight picture. It was actually easier to obtain proper eye relief and decent sight acquisition than the Burris at similar magnification - 5x to 6x -so that was a definite positive. One note - the mount/rings aren’t great (but it IS a $40 scope…). Couldn’t get enough adjustment to zero windage on initial mounting, so I had to take it back off, swap the rings front-to-back, and rotate them 180° - that shifted the initial mounting error to the other side so I could adjust the windage enough. Not a difficult problem, just something to be aware of. The mounting caps appear to be plastic rather than aluminum, so that’s a negative (but, it IS a $40 scope…), but so far has held well enough (at least for the first 8 rounds through the rifle - 5 to establish and verify zero and 3 for my boys to get a chance to shoot it). I’m planning to use it almost entirely for relatively short range hog hunting, so it should work acceptably well.

Outstanding! I was able to retain the mounts that came with the Gamo Wildcat Whisper so install was a breeze. First shot at 15yd was a little low. 6 or 7 clicks up and the shot was center on a 1" dot. So far so good!

The scope itself feels well made. The optics at 3x view are clear while 9x introduces some although slight. The mount does not mesh too well with picatinny rail, it does mount however has a slight tilt which can be irritating if you’re OCD. But is still sturdy and causes no real functional issue. Assembly of the scope mounts is necessary, tools and a glass wipe are provided. Overall I would recommend this since you cannot beat this for the price, and it functions great.
