I know, DEET can cause issues for sensitive skin and some people think it could be problematic in other ways but I have really come to dislike mosquito bites more and more. Hate 'em. The all natural repellents that I tried either didn't work for ME or didn't last very long. This stuff works awesome for me pretty much all day. Not fond of the smell when it goes on but it disappears (mostly) after a few minutes. I can go hiking, hang out at the lake, or work in the garden without helping grow the mosquito population. I tested this stuff out in an area with a moderate amount of mosquitos where I play Disc Golf in the peak of summer. I tried to use a minimal amount as to not carry the strong "bug spray" scent with me or potentially get any in my eyes when I wipe by brow sweat. with about 4-6 seconds of "continuous spraying" on my t-shirt, forearms and pants. While this seemed to keep the mosquitos at bay, I still heard them buzz in my ears and had one or two land on me (as opposed to about 5-10 times as many without spraying myself at all). I sprayed another 8-10 seconds worth of continuous spray on my t-shirt back, around my collar and ankles after noticing them landing on my shoes. I'm not sure if it was the "second coat" or the 15 seconds of continuous spraying that worked, but this seems to be the adequate amount of spray to keep the mosquitos away in order to play a round of Disc Golf at a moderately challenging course with some dense foliage nearby bodies of water. I couldn't avoid the "bug spray scent" and keep the mosquitos at bay though. This product works better than anything I've ever tried in a "pump spray bottle" but I try to use it minimally as to not smell funky, get it in my eyes or mouth, or develop any adverse health effects. TL;DR - It works to keep the skeeters away with 15 seconds of spraying on body and clothes, but it smells funky, burns in your eyes, tastes AWFUL and is probably really awful for your health with extended use. ... show more

I got this for a recent trip to the Caribbean. Mosquitos loves me but I used this everyday and did not get any bites at all! I love this stuff! I'm not a fan of the smell but it fades away fast and gets the job done. I'm so I'm ok with that!

I purchased this for hiking in the woods and it works great. just be aware it should only be sprayed on clothing as it gave me a bad rash when i sprayed it on my skin.
