Great little bookshelf insert puzzle. Not a "serious miniature" in the way of actual small-scale models if anyone's a serious hobbyist. It's mostly a clever combination of some nicely vibrant and detailed printing and some careful puzzle design on what appears to be laser-cut wood. But the combination of pieces and the level of detail and illusion of depth it provides is very fun and quite impressive. Instructions are written pretty well and while it's by no means foolproof, but perfectly doable with a bit of patience if you're at all familiar with crafting or assembly by instructions. Not sure I'd recommend for kids younger than 9 but probably depends on the kid. ... show more

Wonderfool kit. Good instruction book. precise cutting. Final result is impressive. The only problem - no dust cover, but I did it myself. Recommend to use use fast drying glue.

    • check the condition of the large wood pieces to be sure they are not warped.
I started to build it and the first piece is the main board or floor base that all the sides connect to and some things inside must align with. Well the main piece the floor is warped so when trying to get the 3 walls to connect to it the warp caused gaps and would not align correctly. Too bad because I really like this one and most of it is fun to build but I had the unfortunate case of get it with a warped main wood part. I tried to force it together but it was not easy. Get very strong glue and used clamps and finally was able to get it to stay together. I don't think it will last though. Starting to come apart where walls meet the floor that is warped. Wish I could get the makers to give me new one but I think little hope of that. I will contact them anyway and try. I think this Eternal Bookstore Book Nook is a great one if it is not warped you will have fun. Peace. ... show more

This is the first time I've tried one of these "book nooks" and WOW!! I'm hooked!! This "bookstore" nook is amazing! It's not for young kids to put together, it's definitely for people who love detail-oriented, time-consuming, intricate hobbies. The kit is EXTREMELY well made to precision! I'm still in the process of making each individual book, but I have assembled most of the nook and it looks fabulous. I'm honestly thrilled with this product. The directions are a little vague/odd but it was made in China so that explains that; also the pictures in the directions are small and I sometimes have to snap a photo with my phone and then enlarge it...but I'm no spring chicken anymore and it's probably just my eyesight...lol. I will definitely be purchasing more of these from this company. I very highly recommend this product! ... show more

This was a fun build and not super frustrating like some of the minis I’ve built. Don’t just make all the books at the start because they give you materials to make a lot more than will fit in. You can pick and choose what book covers you like the best though since you won’t use them all which is nice. ... show more

First off, this is not a beginner’s project. You have to be somewhat crafty to manage this, have very steady hands and be extremely careful. The parts are very delicate and some will break easily when removing them from the perforated wooden sheets or if using too much force upon assembly. Some of the instructions in the manual were difficult to follow. For instance, in my kit, the manual had “F” parts listed that were actually labeled “A” parts on the wooden sheets. Also be very careful with the light kit assembly. The instructions are confusing. This took me probably a total of 40-50 hour to assemble (my first one). But in the end I am very happy with the outcome. ... show more

I loved this product and so did the recipient. One note, it didn't come with glue like other similar products but I had my own and it actually worked better with more durable glue than the crumby craft glue that usually comes with sets like this. I was so impressed with the quality and fitment of pieces. I plan to buy another style set from same company soon. ... show more
