Never had a product had me in awe like this. Just wow. I am so impressed with the quality, the crazy attention to details. The finished product is literally priceless. Lots of work. If you are a sloppy person that is not patient, forget it. But for me, this amazes me so deeply.

This is my second book nook, so I’m still up on amateur status so this was challenging for me, but I still enjoyed it. There were a few pieces that were missing ( or maybe I lost them but I doubt that ) and a few pieces broke, but luckily this comes with a whole bunch of back up pieces, so I was grateful for that. When I got to the end. I had a lot of trouble getting the frame to come together. As I said before, I’m still an amateur so maybe this is my fault however I was very careful putting it together so I’m not sure who’s to blame. But luckily, I would have scotch tape and glue and I had everything looking good. So overall a B+ for me.

I made this for my son-in-law for his birthday. He LOVED it. It was pretty easy to assemble- I did encounter an area where the tabs to 3 shelves did not line up and had to be sanded to practically nubs but lots of glue fixed that. I noticed that some of these kits have the touch switch on the inside of the unit requiring you to open the dust cover every time you want the lights on. I installed the light switch on the BOTTOM on the unit and placed a guitar sticker over it. I told my son-in-law to just touch the strings as if he were about to play Happy Birthday and wellah! It works perfectly. This is also the first kit that I shipped through the US Mail across a few states. I packed it with layers of bubble wrap and thankfully, it arrived in perfect condition. The only note I’d like to mention is the overhead light on the ceiling. This was actually one of my very favorite lights but it requires a lot of patience to assemble. It’s installed at the very end of the build and you have like 1” of wire to use. If you follow the directions very carefully, it comes out great, but there were a few curse words flying during the process. One of the first things I did was assemble most of the light at the very beginning of building this kit so the frame was glued and dried. Then I had to glue the lightbulb to the frame. After that, you have to glue the 2 frames that adhere the fixture to the ceiling. I found I had to get these wires PERFECTLY lined up with absolutely no twisting of the wires. There’s a small channel on the bottom piece where the wires run through and then the second part is installed on top of it. Once that is dried, I had to install this light fixture UPSIDE DOWN (to the ceiling) & hold it until it dried. It was a pain in the you-know-what, but the finished product was well worth it. My son-in-law says he wants to live in this room. Also, take your time with the railing. Again, a little patience goes a long way and delivers exceptional results. I found this build challenging enough without being frustrating.

The media could not be loaded. This was an awesome project this is the second one that I've purchased the first one was the covenant Church for my mother I built it for her I enjoyed building , It was so cool , I purchased this second kit originally planned as a gift , but as I built it I found it more amazing for myself , All of the hidden features the slide away escape door on the second floor and the moving front door on the first level is really amazing kit , with the lights installed , looks great , directions on the other hand make you have to rework the model twice especially on the second level when installing the lights It's like two different people wrote the instructions first going through the project do not glue any major components together because you will not be able to uninstall them I'm glad that I could see there was going to be an issue building it and I did not glue it until complete , also if this is your first kit best thing to do is make a grade A photocopy of the master sheet of all the pieces for the books the ribbon all of the paper because if you make a mistake you will not be able to make another one always make a couple of grade A photocopies on some high quality paper just a tip . Excellent kit much enjoyment.
