Medical alert necklace comes with free custom engraving. The engraving is done in a BLACK font (see photos) that is warrantied for life. I ordered the medical tag on June 1 and had it in hand on June 8. The engraving was precisely what I wrote. They even spelled my last name correctly; I have a common last name, but with an unusual spelling. 75% of the time, it's spelled wrong, even when I spell it out. The tag is smaller than a traditional dog tag, but the printing is easy to read. It's thick, so it's not going to bend or distort. It came on a heavy jump ring, attached to a heavy chain. The chain has no clasp to break, so you slip it over your head. I prefer a smaller diameter, bead chain, so I used needle nose pliars to open the jump ring, to switch chains. The engraving is filled with black, so it stands out. It's very clear and concise. It comes with a medical ID card for you to fill out and carry. The tag is very reasonably priced. It's made in Colorado. I highly recommend it. ... show more

I ordered a "dog-tag" medical alert bracelet and received it approximately one week later. The Tag is made of a sturdy piece of metal. Very nicely engraved - not just stamped. The info was engraved exactly as submitted. The question asked above as to the location of the company was mine. Nice to know that the engraving is being done in the US (Colorado). The only thing that surprised me is the tag is slightly smaller than I was expecting, (a little smaller than a military dog tag). I decided this was actually a good thing as it has all the information on it I asked for without being bulky. My only other comment is I wish I had thought to add my blood type. Just what I needed! No mistakes, quick service, arrived two days late but I realize that was due to weather conditions. Thank You again. I would highly recommend to others. I recently loss consciousness while shopping. I was slipping into hyperammonia coma. Sale person found my phone and started calling all the numbers until they got in touch with my sister. She told them which hospital I needed to be transported and she would meet them there. After being discharged, I began to look for medical alert tag. The product appears to be good quality and it arrived within days of placing my order. The inscription on the front and back are clear and contain all of the information that I requested. That said, I was a little disappointed that both the dog tag and chain are so small. Guess I expected a dog tag more the size of what I wore in the Army on a chain long enough to slip on and off over my head without having to unfasten the clasp. I just received my dog tag and it’s perfect! If you’re ordering this as a gift it comes nicely presented. Beautifully made and very sleek and smooth. I’m impressed with the quality of the chain. I am a new Diabetes and with any medical condition, It is a good idea to have some type of ID on you just in case. This is an excellent necklace, and is very well engraved with the information that you think is important. Lots of space on front and back for lots of information. Sorry, but this item reminds me of something you receive out of the pet tag machine at any Petsmart. I know that sounds harsh but it is a very cheaply made item that is simply "okay." It does serve its purpose I presume. Please make sure you note the off-white line running down the left hand side and across the bottom left side of the tag. This is not just the photo --- it is prevalent on the item and yet has absolutely no purpose other than it looks like an engraving mistake. Maybe I am being too picky but the item did not live up to my expectations and I will never wear it. Other reviewers absolutely love theirs but I don't. I was able to get a pretty good amount of information on the tag and the letters are still large enough to be easily read. The materials seem to be of high quality. The letters are printed rather than engraved so we'll see if they stand the test of time, but being on a dog tag they won't get a lot of wear and tear like a bracelet would. 5 stars. ... show more
