Used to hang sun shade cloth as a curtain in my screened porch ceiling. This option was cheaper than getting sun shades and I was able to have truck curve around the corners of perimeter of 3 sides. A bit hard to install as has a metal strip inside the track and is hard to handle by one person, very stiff. Definitely need second helper, especially if using longer length track. Also, because of that metal strip inside that makes track sturdy, it is impossible to unbend from the roll from shipping into a very straight line. Good thing that for my purpose of outside use, it does not matter that track is a little curvy. Pullies glide very well. I like that track also came with a clips and few extra end caps in case someone needs to cut track into few lengths. Screws are kind of long for me and I did not even bother with "Asian" quality- went to hardware store and purchased sturdy, stainless steel, shorter screws. Nice options that is not available in the hardware stores for doable price. ... show more

This was a super easy install. I was a bit worried at first because it didn't come with installation directions, but one look back at the pictures on Amazon was all the guidance I really needed... a power drill helped though. The track itself is sturdy, and will bend into basically any shape you need although you do have to apply a bit of pressure. It fits only one way into the clasps, so make sure the flat edge is against the ceiling and the beveled edge is pointing toward the floor for the rollers to glide on. All you really have to do is measure out where you want the clasps, drill them in with the screws, and then the flat edge just snaps into place. From there, it's super easy to just put the rollers and alligator clips on. There are two very small downsides. There are 9 clasps with two screw holes each, but only 12 screws provided. Not a big deal if you're hanging something relatively lightweight, but may be a concern if your drape is quite heavy. The provided screws are also pretty low quality. I inadvertently stripped a head with the drill that I had to pull out with a pair of pliers, so be careful there. Overall though, it's totally worth the money, and only took about 20 minutes to install. ... show more

I purchased this to use in my shop to hang some cheap curtains from as a dust screen as part of my dust collection system. Because of my specific needs, I found just a cheap set on another site, which turned out to be quite heavy. I was a bit concerned that these tracks, clips, wheels or brackets would not hold up the weight of the curtain but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong on that account. The wheels roll smooth and these seem quite durable. I have the tracks curving around a corner of my shop and they to around the sharp corner/curve. One thing many people mentioned was difficulty straightening the tracks. I read through all the reviews and decided not to waste my time putting heavy items on them first. I opened the pack, took the plastic sleeve off, then I ran hand over hand from beginning to end, just bending against the coiled up curve of the track. I ran back over it again doing the same and again (three times in total). I then put the brackets up, snapped the track in and was done. From the time I opened the package until the track was fully installed, was maybe an hour. I cut one of the ends as it was just a little too long, using a fine tooth jab saw. Was quick to cut and the end cap went on as expected (and has stayed on for a few weeks now). Good price for this track, glad I didn't spend more on another brand. I have not finished installing this product and I can already tell you it will not get more than 3 stars so far as the install has been delayed and frustrating due to the incredibly CHEAP pewter screws. They snap right under the head of the screw when post is too far in to be easily removed again. After 6 of the first 10 screws snapped off in the wood, I switched to proper hardware I purchased separately and had on hand already. Things went much better from the there. Still, I have screw posts stuck in the wood now that are there for life. I’ll have to figure out how to cover them later. I’ll update with more details once full install is done and it has been used for a bit. I am a little concerned but moving forward. ... show more
