I think these are sturdy enough and they are long enough to keep your hand far enough away from danger, but they should be better. Sharp edges on the bottom side of the fork and spatula can easily cut you and they should have been buffed down. Also, the tongs have rounded, smooth edges which prevent them from gripping the food you need to flip or grab. They should have a more aggressive edge that actually grabs the food. I can’t believe these were ever tested before being launched, because it is very obvious the tongs don’t grip food well at all. That is a failure because, to me, the tongs are the primary tool in this set. They need to work. ... show more

These are good tools. The tongs don't fold closed, a bit of a nuisance.

The fork and spatula are great, good length for grilling. The tongs have rubber tips that slide off easily, making it basically impossible to turn or grab food. They do remove all the way, so I guess they are still usable.
