My 47" desk kit arrived safely via USPS I think. No parts were missing - everything was labeled, corresponding to the instructions. No parts were damaged. It went together smoothly (I have assembled maybe 6 tables and desks like this in my lifetime). Legroom- the area where you sit is 34" wide and 28" from floor to the bottom rail of the tabletop. I have a 24" monitor, 13" laptop and a large scanner on the top, all fit fine. Best part: they gave me one extra of every peg, screw and bolt (yay)! An allen wrench was included. I was able to switch the top shelf for the bottom with no issues - my HP1010 printer only fit on the bottom and it runs warm, so I wanted the metal shelf on the bottom. Paper supply goes on the top shelf, with room behind for a power strip. I miss having a drawer, but I like the looks without one. I've used it for 3 weeks, and I'm happy with this purchase thus far. Here are my assembly tips: Unpack carefully, saving the material if at all possible in case of return. Handle the two tops gently. Inspect and count every single part before you start. Look at any hole misalignment carefully before assuming it is wrong. Return it at that point as damaged, if there is anything wrong. If you are unsure, watch the video on Amazon, Installation Guide for Computer Desk with Shelves Storage, beforehand because the included instructions don't have a lot of text, mostly pictures and arrows. Same with the video, but it helps in general if you are a visual learner. Yes, start with the shelf section as shown. Turn up the lights so you can see well. Follow the instruction photos. Use the correct screws!!! - they are in a package, labeled. Keep track of the different sizes of screws. Be gentle with the fit. Do not firm up any of the screws or bolts until you have the section soft-built. If you promise to be gentle and not over-tighten, use an allen wrench bit on a drill to assist assembly. My arthritis flared up partway through from all the screwing. Use a light touch with the drill or you will strip the screws or holes. And it will be your fault. The four black plastic corner thingys in the box are just protecive packing. I ended up with a little pack of c-clips, and FINALLY figured out those are for cable management. It was not listed in the parts list nor in the instructions because it was a bonus. ... show more
