The Good - Nice smooth running machine. Cutters spin true with no wobble like the Chinese made drills. Carrying case is decent. Long cord. The Bad - Seller, Hagoutlet sent me their dusty display model, missing allen wrenches and pilot pins. Had to file a claim get that resolved. Hagoutlet told the manufacturer the missing items didn't get shipped with the unit. Manufacturer sends the correct pilot pins to me but sent very short allen wrenches that are nothing like the long ones that normally come with the unit and do not fit the spots in the carrying case. See pics I like the unit and I believe it's well made and will last. ... show more

    • Damaged on arrival. A very big disappointment.
I read the reviews and ordered anyway. I had seen a positive review of product online. Upon opening the box, it appeared used, with the drill chuck untethered in the box, and apparently damaging the tool. Upon closed inspection the switch was broken. For this much money, this is completely unacceptable. I don't know if this was a re-packaged, used unit, or if the manufacturer places so little care in getting the unit to the customer undamaged. Sent it back for replacement. If it arrives undamaged, I will re-review. If not, I will purchase another brand elsewhere. ... show more

    • What a timesaver!
I spent two days drilling 26 small holes through 5/8" steel flanges of a steel beam. It took at least 10 minutes per hole and I killed my arm applying pressure. The holes didn't look good at all. I had to drill another 26 more and bought this mag-drill. Using a new drill bit, I drilled all the holes in record time, in about 12 seconds per hole. The bit stayed sharp too at the end of it. This mag drill is great. Quality is fantastic. Priced right. We use 1/4-3/8” thick, structural steel on job sites and this drill has not disappointed. Recently drilled around 160 1” holes with annular cutter. Make sure to use cutting oil. Oatey brand off-the-shelf worked fine. I recommend CS Unitec Mag-drills. ... show more

    • Quality control problem
On-off switch faulty. Seller don't respond. I fixed myself. Bad quality control. Need to have some experience with electronics to fix the issue yourself.

We needed a mag drill for our Fab shop that was easy to move around but still solid enough to hold up to a lot of abuse. The MABasic 200 is perfect and as promised, it arrived in 2 days from the vendor.
