I snagged the Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD with heatsink on sale for my new white-themed PC build with an Intel Core Ultra 2, and it’s been an incredible boot drive. This SSD is insanely fast—Windows boots almost instantly, and games and apps load in seconds. The 2TB capacity is perfect for my OS, large games, and video editing files, with plenty of space left over. I went with the heatsink version since it was discounted, even though my motherboard has built-in M.2 heatsinks. The included heatsink allowed me to install this under my GPU, freeing up my motherboard’s heatsinks for future M.2 drives, which is a nice bonus The performance (up to 7,400MB/s read, 7,000MB/s write) is top-notch, and temps have stayed low even during heavy use. For the price, especially on sale, this drive is a steal. 5 stars for speed, capacity, and versatility—I’ll update if performance changes over time.     • Noticeably Faster than a SATA SSD

I built my computer about 4 or 5 years ago, and while my motherboard had 2 NVMe slots, I didn't use them, since those drives were too expensive at the time. Instead I used a SATA SSD, which was plenty fast. I was going to reformat my computer to get a fresh install (and try out Atlas OS for Win10), so I decided while I was at it, I should switch to a NVMe drive, now that they weren't so expensive. NVMe's are really easy to install, as you just have 1 screw to do. The Win10 install saw the disk just fine, I selected it, it formatted it, and worked great first try (no weird disk formatting issues or anything). The computer boots a lot faster, but some of that could be due to Atlas OS. *BUT* When I install a game on Steam/Epic/GOG, that's where the speed is really noticeable. The download is the same (as a SATA SSD was faster than anything my download speeds could imagine), but after you have the files the game always needs to install/patch/verify, and that's where the NVMe speed becomes apparent. I love how quickly it burns through those steps now! This has been my primary drive for about a month now, and I'm completely happy with it. ... show more

Great add on storage for your PS5. Works well and speed tests as fast or faster than the internal storage. I honestly can't tell which games are on this or which are on internal storage when using it.

Crucial T500 did not disappoint and has done very well for me. Upgrading my son's gaming rig was super easy and he has been enjoying the boost in speed over his older WD SN570. This is a great value to performance buy and you will not be disappointed in your gaming experience.
