The machining on the longer throw axis is painted over, and there is rough casting, high spots and voids over the base section where the sliding base slides over. Would take more than scotch brite, deburring and solvent to fix. Both acme screws for X and Y are bent and bind even after applying moly grease to them. The X and Y lash is huge and the base is loose even after tightening down the slide keep screws! I didn't find this product very useful for even rough cut work due to the loose lash. Overall feels loose with stiction in clamping, and in one direction in the long travel axis. It is very cheap cost-wise so might be able to be reworked to be more functional than I experienced, but I will return it, I don't recommend it.

...and it seems like a good little XY unit so far. Mounted to a 12" drill press with the included hardware and lubed the threads of the adjusters. It will be put through some light duty drill press work. Will update review if I run into any issues with it.

Would like to state the machine work is a little bit off, which you can certainly work around. That being said for the price point it is a definite buy. If you're expecting a Wilton out of the box you can forget about it. Ended up taking mine all apart and scotch briting (and light grease) dovetails etc to get it to transition smoothly. Again imo its a definite buy for the price point.
