Been using for a couple months now paddling a 12 foot sit on top kayak. Paddle is well made for the price. Light weight and strong. Great features usually found in a paddle twice the price. I feel the blades are a little small and you loose a little power in each stroke.

This is an excellent two piece kayak paddle. It connects together via a simple but strong push button fitting. It is adjustable for three different paddle blade angles. What makes this a great paddle for anglers are: both blades have a notch for retrieving stuck fishing lines and second, there is a 40" measuring scale on the handle of the paddle. Unfortunately, if you offset the blade angles, the scale no longer lines up. It seems an easy fix for the manufacturer to just replicate the one half of the scale on the other sides of the paddle. Other than that small quirk, I am very happy with the paddle. It balances nicely, is not too heavy, comes with drip protectors and a paddle leash. A very happy user!

I bought this to use with my nucanoe frontier 12. The paddle works fine. I like the length, the actual paddles work well but do hold water in the bend but they do the job pretty well. My biggest issue is the handle. It is rough and kinda thin and flexes more than I like when paddling. For the money I still say you can't go wrong especially for a paddle this size. I would buy again but I will say if you don't already have calloused hands you will want to wear a glove or get those paddle grips. I have also used the line retrieve to get lures out of trees that someone lost so that little cut in works well.

Right out of the box I am very happy with what I am seeing. I needed a 9' paddle for my Beavertail Stealth, and this one is much cheaper than the one Beavertail sales. I feel like it is study, but light. I really like the color scheme and notch for hooking fishing line or grabbing decoys. I haven't used it yet, but first impression is great!

9' Longest length I could find. I use it for a fishing kayak that is wide and has adjustable height seat (Bonafide). Carbon shaft fits snug and no slop. Optional colors would be nice as this does not match my kayak colors. I'll keep you posted if anything goes wrong. updated 9/27 - still no slop after rowing a few miles and I also use it for getting in and out of kayak. For me and my fishing kayak it enters the water at the best angle because of the 9' length. The blade angle can also be adjusted, of course. The say it floats but oddly enough I've not tried it yet. Wide fishing kayaks are pigs to paddle but longer paddles help a lot. Yes, this weighs more than my last one but you'll get a smoother and longer stroke that might compensate. If you have a fishing kayak, or thinking of getting one, I don't see how you can go wrong with this. I suppose you could paint the blades with the right type of paint.
