  • Perfect Entry Into Track-Ready RC Fun
My son and I have been into RC for years, starting with micro scale and eventually moving up to an inexpensive RTR 1/12 truck. Once we found a local dirt track, though, it was obvious the 1/12 couldn’t handle the jumps or keep up with the 1/8 and 1/10 cars. We each got one of these, and they’ve been awesome. We run them on 3S with a bigger battery, completely stock motor and gearing. The only change we made was adjusting the shock position to better absorb jump landings. Last weekend we took them to a really nice professional track and had a blast. Lap after lap, jump after jump, they held up great and kept pace pretty well, aside from a couple of guys running perfectly tuned 1/10 race truggies. So if you want a powerful, fun, upgradeable RC car with replaceable parts, and you’re not trying to be a hardcore race champion, this is a fantastic way in. One tip: buy an assorted pack of M3 hex socket head bolts. We snapped the bolts holding one of the front shocks to the shock tower on our first day out. ... show more

  • Awesome RC Car!
The Croboll SBK 1:10 Brushless RC Car is fast and durable. I own many Croboll RC cars and have always appreciated their well-built quality and looks. The car comes with everything you need to get racing right out the box. The 2852-3100KV brushless motor with 45A ESC reaches top speeds of 40+ mph and is crazy fast. Includes an 11kg high-torque servo for responsive control and durability. Oiled filled shocks and Aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum alloy shock towers add to the cars great performance and strength. Croboll’s customer service is great and very responses to your inquiries. I recommend you buy one. You will not regret your purchase decision. ... show more

  • Great 1st RC car
Great 1st RC car for kids. You can set the speed with a knob to a crawl or all the way up to top speed and anywhere in between. It rips pretty good too at top speed. I bought this at $189.99 for my 7 y/o. As he gets better I can gradually turn up the speed. Tires are more suited for asphalt but have held up well so far. Nice suspension. Steers well and stays planted. ... show more

  • AWESOME CAR
I have owned a lot of RC cars. Some of them I have built and some were RTR cars like this. I have to say that this is one of the best RC cars out of the box ever. The build quality is unbelievable and It's a extremely fast and quick. You can find replacement parts for it and even upgrades. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting a car this nice for the money, seriously. Before you blow $200-250 and get a piece of crap, buy this. ... show more

  • Awesome
This car is awesome. Buy it and have fun. But also be advised, this version is way too heavy to handle rough terrain. I got tired of driving long distances to get to tracks so instead I built a few ramps and placed then in the back yard. We have a lot of uneven terrain and so attempting to race the car flips way too much. But it's a great 1/10 with a battery and charger included for 200 bucks. You would be better off spending another 50 bucks and going to the carbon fiber chasis bc of this ... show more

  • Outstanding Handling, High Quality, Amazing Handling but Kind of Slow....
The Rlaarlo SBK Metal Edition is a really solid RC car overall. What stood out to me right away was how well it’s put together. The design feels thought out, and the car has a more substantial, better-built feel than a lot of other RCs in this general price range. It’s not cheap, but for what you get, the price feels very fair. Feature-wise, it’s equipped better than I expected. It has a center differential, full ball bearings, adjustable oil-filled shocks, adjustable tie rods, droop screws (allow for quickly adjustment of the ride height for on road use), and an adjustable motor mount — things that are often missing on lower-priced cars. The radio system is decent and easy to use, and even the included LiPo battery is better than the usual “throw-in” battery you get with many RTRs. The off-road tires work well, and overall the car just looks really good. The Metal Edition comes with a 2852-size brushless motor. On paper that doesn’t sound like much, especially in a 1/10th scale buggy, but in actual use it feels decently strong for off road use. Acceleration is responsive, and it’s quick enough to be fun without feeling out of control. Power deliverer from the 45A ESC is smooth and out of the box, the car tops out just under 30 mph (28 mph in my testing). That being said, experienced RC users will be a bit underwhelmed with the power especially on road. Beginners will enjoy that it does have adjustable speed settings so you can really dial it back to as low as 25% for a kid or something with slow reflexes. With the optional speed pinion, it should push past 30 mph, and the adjustable motor mount makes gearing changes straightforward if you want to experiment. The suspension is quite good and very capable of soaking up bumps and mild to moderate jumps. The extra battery tray that allows you to run 5,000 mAh 3s LIPOs is a really nice tough and if you have a larger battery, your run times will become impressively long! After spending time with it, the SBK Metal Edition feels like a well-balanced RC that prioritizes solid construction and sensible performance over chasing big numbers. It doesn’t try to be the fastest car out there, but it’s enjoyable to drive, easy to work on, and doesn’t feel like corners were cut where it matters. Edit - update. So I got it up to 65 mph on the stock power system. Then on 4s with a $15 ESC, custom motor mount and a 50t pinion, it hit 76 miles an hour. On 6s, still on the stock note, with a higher end ESC and a 41t pinion, it went 85 mph but it still has some more left in it! You can make it fast… But it is slow out of the box. ... show more

  • Garbage. Slow as a turtle. Hard to work on.
Cheap 1.5mm screws that strip. Small battery tray. Small everything. No room to move anything around because of the body shape and everything being crammed into the chasis. Super difficult to work on. Slow out the box. Slow with speed pinion. Complete waste of money. Selling on FB because it sucks.
