If I could recommend anything Cricut besides the machines this gem would be it! It comes with extra blades and easy install! The safety aspect of the install of the blades is genius! This works great for paper and vinyl cutting as well as fabric! Would highly recommend adding to your crafting items!

I have different types of these knives in my craft collection. Some have a stationary blade and others are interchangeable like this one. I have to say that this one is my favorite. The Cricut knife is incredibly sharp (please be careful and ALWAYS put the cover on it when you’re not using it....even if it’s for a minute....learn from my mistakes, please). The grip on the thick casing is really nice. It’s obvious that this is made well and I feel as though I have more control when I use it than with others. The best part of this knife is the interchangeable blade kit and its housing. It is so easy to switch out blades and you’re able to safely go from one to the other without touching anything sharp. I find myself reaching for this particular knife whenever I am doing any intricate cutting more than any other in my craft table. It’s great! ... show more

I am so happy with this knife I had to write a review. I have used other cutting knives and none have been as comfortable to hold. The blade is really sharp and easily went through the wood in my book nook kit where I needed to make the hole in a bunch of pieces large enough to incorporate the wires for the lights. I don’t know how I survived almost a whole year in business without this. I thought about buying it several times but just never knew if it was going to be something that I absolutely had to have an use all the time. I bought mine with a gift card that I got for Christmas thinking I have nothing to lose that way, and I will never be without it again as long as I have my machine! Sometimes weeding small vinyl is so much easier because I can push the tip of the razor into the vinyl and pull it almost straight up. Also sometimes with smaller fonts and things my machine might not cut all the way so I can use the razor and complete the cut in small areas saving me so much time so I don’t have to re-cut something again! The price of this is absolutely fantastic as well. I was at Michael’s and was planning on buying a second one while I was there, but for the price, it is cheaper to purchase that here! Craft stores have just the individual razor pen without the refills for the price of this, and this is more than $7 higher in the store. As I’m leaving this review, and putting it in my cart so I now have a second one! It’s a MUST!! ... show more

I've had this pen 60 days & it broke on 2nd use. The blade won't stay in and the lock/unlock piece comes out & won't stay in. I now have a whole set of blades that are useless. Since I'm 30 days past return date, I can't return it. I'll have to buy a new one. I'm hesitant to buy a new one because if it breaks, I'll have a ton of extra blades that can't be used. I expected better quality from Cricut. I really don't want to spend another $10 for a knife that may only last after 2 cuts. I'm very upset. I needed this knife. ... show more

    • Blades don't stay in at all/UPDATE: 7/11/2023
No matter what I do, the blades won't stay in. Locked or unlocked, the blades just fall out immediately. I asked my husband to check it to see if I was doing something wrong, and the same thing happened with him. I have been able to use it about twice before the blade fell out. All other times, the blade never stayed in at all. The reason I bought it was because the reviews were so good, but I do see there were about 4 or 5 reviews reporting the same issue. I'm returning it, but, since the reviews were so much higher than the other craft knives I looked at and only a very small number had the same issue in having the blades fall out, I'll probably take a chance on a second one. UPDATE: I returned the first one in February and received a replacement within a day or 2. I have now had that one for 5 months, and it works perfectly. So the first one I had was not typical. There were a few other reviewers who had the same problem, so they do need to do a little more quality control before they send them out, but, if you get a good one, it will work perfectly for a long time. I'm glad I took the chance on a second one. I use this one several times a week. ... show more
