I purchased a Cricut Maker with high hopes for my crafting projects. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. From the beginning, I struggled to get the machine to work correctly, leading to immense frustration. After several unsuccessful attempts (less than seven times in total), I put the machine away in my closet, where it remained untouched until recently. When I tried to use it again, I discovered that the rubber wheels were damaged, and the machine malfunctioned right out of the box. Upon contacting Cricut customer service, I was informed that my warranty had expired and there is no repair department to assist with my issue. Despite the representative’s claims that the rubber wheels typically become damaged from overuse, my machine has seen minimal use and has never worked successfully. I have kept the machine dust-free, covered up, and in a safe space where it has not been touched at all. It is incredibly disheartening to realize that I spent nearly $400 on a product that is now a paperweight, accompanied by hundreds of dollars worth of materials that I cannot use, totaling approximately $800. The $25 coupon offered as compensation is an insult and does not address the significant financial loss and inconvenience I have experienced. Given how this situation has been handled, I am reluctant to invest in another Cricut product. Moreover, I have discovered numerous complaints online from other customers who have experienced similar issues with their Cricut machines. These customers report that Cricut customer service has been aware of the problem for years but has done nothing to help. This essentially shows that Cricut knowingly sells defective items with a one-year warranty, with no way to fix them, no repair department, and no resolution for thousands of customers. This makes Cricut not only unreliable but also deceptive in its practices. To make matters worse, these issues are not limited to the Maker model. Had I known the Cricut Maker would be so problematic, I would have either never bought it or used it sooner to identify any potential issues. Cricut needs to address these widespread problems and offer fair resolutions to affected customers. Until then, I cannot recommend their products or services. ... show more
