Features

  • MINI YET MIGHTY: This Creworks mini metal lathe still cranks out 1100W (1.5 hp) and is great for handling small to medium projects; it provides an 8.3 inch (21 cm) swing over bed and 16 inch (40 cm) distance between its centers with a 1.5 inch (38 mm) spindle bore
  • PRECISE ENGINEERING: Ideal for professionals, this mini metal lathe's high-precision 5-inch 3-jaw chuck handles both square and round objects with equal aplomb; its granular precision is especially useful for jobs requiring high accuracy such as threading
  • COMPLETE CONTROL: The lathe's rotational speed can be set from 50 to 2250 rpm and monitored through the digital display; the well-crafted head and tailstocks, large through-hole, and 4-way tool post also contribute to providing greater control of your work
  • ULTRA-STURDY & SAFE: The all metal construction assures you of a long service life; the transparent chuck guard protects you from swarf or broken tools while also permitting visibility into the point of operation
  • WIDE APPLICATION: This mini woodworking lathe comes suitable for many processing tasks needing extreme precision, including turning, drilling, threading, and cutting

  • Value is good (ish)
Style: 8" x 16" Brushless
Unfortunately, this machine lives up to the stigma of a "Cheap China Import Lathe". That is not necessarily all bad though. You just have to expect a lousy paint finish, missing small parts, and no instructions. But the actual mechanics of the lathe machine are there, you just have to refine the fit and finish for YOUR requirements. My intended use is a tool for unique situations where a lathe is a practical tool to complete a task. This is not a precision machine by any means. It is a good machine to carry out making a part on a lathe when only a lathe will get it done. I like having it in my shop/garage and the price I paid was fair for what I expected to get. The machine arrived on time and was well packaged. ... show more

  • Tweaking needed
Style: 8" x 16" Brushless
Overall has been a good lathe. Needed some minor tweaking out of the box, so far nothing major. Had to replace the 4 jaw chuck- the jaws, no matter how hard I tightened them down, had a small amount of movement leading to the piece not spinning smoothly. The compound slide also needed some adjustment, and I'm still playing with it. That being said, it has so far worked well. It is much quieter than my previous lathes, accelerates quickly and smoothly, and has good power. ... show more
