I like to test items out for a while before writing reviews and it is no difference with this cleaner. Previous reviews had me scared enough to keep the original box for a month while I expected the unit to fail. Why even get it then? Because this was reasonably priced, arrived quickly compared to others and I really needed something fast to clean a bunch of car parts. Yes, I am using this to clean car parts, from brake calipers to pistons, to bolts and anything else that I can fit in there. I have had no problems with it. I've used it for months now and it has probably a dozen hours on it. I fill it up with ultrasonic parts cleaning solution and water. Because I'm working with parts that are caked in carbon or covered in oil and grease, I max out the temp and it gets there pretty fast. Setup and use is straight forward, put your parts in, fill it up, set the time and temp and off you go. Mine does not leak from the drain and so far the basket and unit itself seems pretty durable, it has stood up to the test of repeated use of hard parts. Temp control is an up button and down button and has no trouble getting to the temp you need. It may go over a few degrees while heating but will eventually stabilize. The time does not turn off when the timer stops which I have no problem with since I don't want the water to stop heating between the time I am removing parts and putting more parts in. It is not quiet, but not annoyingly loud. I find that if I put something heavy on the lid while it is running that it will make it a bit quieter since the lid can no longer vibrate. It really does an amazing job cleaning, I should have gotten one years ago and saved all the time and energy using sprays and wire brushes. Just make sure you get a really good cleaning solution.

This is an all around great unit. Easy to use and it works well. Those complaining about the sound do not take into consideration that these are inherently noisy, it's just what they do! It's not overwhelming. It would be extremely easy to muffle the sound by putting a layer of 1/4" foam tape, or even electrical tape around the top of the tub where the lid meets the surface. A thin layer of sound deadening foam insulation for the top of the lid will remedy the sound escaping from there. All in all, two thumbs up.

I am LOVING this cleaner! Yes, it is a little noisy, but that is to be expected when purchasing a unit that is literally an industrial metal box with 600 watts of high frequency speakers. If you don’t expect noise, you’re expectations are unrealistic. In just two weeks I’ve put at least 25 hours of use on this unit. It heats quickly enough, but not super fast. I’ve cleaned 3 sets of carburetors, a gearbox, our iRobot and shark vacuum cleaners, tractor hydraulic valves, brake slave cylinders, and more. It goes without saying that I’ve gotten my money’s worth out on it already for sure. All I add is a little simple green cleaner and make sure the solution is good and hot. I also salvaged a perfectly good shock absorber that had some surface rust with some evaporation-rust and ran it at 150 degrees for two hours. It came out looking new. I’m extremely happy with the cleaner, and the extra size is worth the money just so I can run 4 cylinder motorcycle carbs in it in a single run. I highly recommend this unit as long as you buy it understanding that it is a upper-end homeowner grade unit, and not a true day in day out commercial grade cleaner. For less than $300 you are getting a lot of cleaning power, and it should last for years as long as you keep it filled at least 2/3 full while in use.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Picked for price point and favorable reviews. In my own shop use it has proven value. Functionality: The only feature I wish it had in retrospect is a drain valve Temperature control: Temperature holds steady and is accurate. It’s best to start it off with water already warmed as it does take a while to attain setpoint. Quality: So far in almost daily use cleaning small parts and PCBs it holds up. Easy to clean and seems durable. somewhat loud as it’s only flaw. My iPhone alerted me to high db near it, though my hearing is such I was not aware. Value for money: Good value for an efficient and reliable cleaner
