This was a great fit for my 6 year old daughter and 7 year old nephew. No water seepage and they both said it was comfortable. I know it’s advertised for 3-5 year olds but I think this can easily work for a slightly older child older as well. Cressi makes high quality products and this set is no exception. Spend a few extra bucks and get this set. Your kids will enjoy snorkeling so much more with a comfortable mask that doesn’t leak!

I ordered the Cressi Mini Peg & Mini Island Mask & Snorkel Kit for my 8-year-old son to prepare him for snorkeling on our upcoming vacation to Curacao. Unfortunately, the plastic smell of the mask was too strong for him and he wouldn't wear it long enough to really test it out. I tried washing it and airing it out, but he wouldn't put it back on because to him it still smelled. He has a sensitivity to odors that is stronger than most kids due to his sensory processing disorder, so others may not have an issue. The mask and snorkel feel very well made and are easy to adjust. I like that they come in a reusable bag for storage. This is probably a great mask, but we couldn't give it a full test.

My son used this for a week snorkeling in the Caribbean without issues. He is small for his age and it can be difficult finding gear that fits. Especially, something that needs to fit well enough to create a water tight seal. These worked without complaints. Highly recommend this product and brand.

I received the Cressi Mini Peg and Mini Island Mask and Snorkel Kit for free and put them to the test right away. This set came in blue and my son immediately claimed it. The design is compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to pack along for a trip to the beach or pool. For kids or beginners just getting comfortable in the water, this kit does the job of introducing them to snorkeling without much fuss. That said, it is definitely more of a starter kit than a serious piece of gear. The mask works, but the seal is not perfect and can let in a little water if it shifts. The snorkel functions fine for short swims, but it does not have the sturdiness or advanced features you would find in higher end sets. The fins add to the fun, but they feel a little small and not as powerful as you might want if you are planning on exploring beyond shallow areas. On the plus side, the kit is colorful, and lightweight. It has an easygoing charm that makes it well suited for younger swimmers or for a family who just wants a casual introduction to snorkeling. On the downside, it is not the most durable or perfectly fitted option, so you should set expectations accordingly. Overall, I would give it 3 stars. It brings some fun and color to the water, but it is best suited as a beginner or occasional set rather than something to rely on for more serious underwater adventures. The Cressi Mini Snorkel Kit is the first set I picked up for my daughter to use in the pool (Photo 1). The kit does say it’s made for ages two to five, but it fits my seven-year-old without any problem. This was her very first time using a snorkel, so I had to walk her through how it works. The main challenge she had was wanting to dive too far down, which caused water to get into the tube and into her mouth. Aside from that, she seemed to enjoy it. After a two-hour pool session, I asked her what she thought, and she told me she liked the mask and snorkel kit and thought they were comfortable. I always use defog on our masks and goggles, so I’m not sure how it handles fog without. However, with the defog, she never had any fogging issues. The seal around her face was solid with no leaks at all, and the set even comes in a reusable storage bag, which I found handy (Photo 2). Cons - It was tough for her to get water out of the snorkel because there is no purge valve at the bottom (Photo 3). She couldn’t blow hard enough to clear the tube, and twisting the mouthpiece didn’t really help. As for durability, I am not sure yet, but after just one use we noticed a small dent on the tube (Photo 4).
