I picked up the Cressi Panoramic Diving Mask and Snorkel kit for pool time with my daughter, and I have to say, I really like it (Photo 1). The view is wide, and the water looks crystal clear when you are wearing it. I always use defog spray, so I cannot say for sure how it would do without, but the clarity stood out right away. The mask was so comfortable that I almost forgot I had it on (Photo 2). It stayed secure on my face even when I jumped into the pool and did flips under the water. I have not used a snorkel piece in about 20 years, so I’m not sure how common it is, but I was impressed with the water stop system. It seals the tube when you go under, which felt like a big improvement from the basic snorkels I used as a kid. With those, I always ended up with water rushing in whenever I went down too far, which is why I never bothered using them. However, with this one, I did not have to worry. If I happened to go too deep in the water it sealed off the water, and I could come right back up and breathe without any problems. The snorkel also has a sliding clip to adjust the height, making it easy to fit just right (Photo 3). The hypoallergenic mouthpiece felt comfortable every time, even during a two-hour pool session. The flexible tube also made it easier to keep the mouthpiece in without pulling, while the top of the snorkel stayed in place above the water. The kit also comes with a reusable storage bag that closes with Velcro. The top even comes apart about 4 inches from the top which makes it easy to slide the mask and snorkel in and out (Photo 4). That little detail was a nice bonus, and it did help a lot. Cons - The seal around my face sometimes broke when I smiled. Also, the water stop system worked but was not perfect. It failed here and there, probably only about five percent of the time though. However, both of these are not a flaw in the product itself, and I feel like they are just normal limits of how masks and snorkels work. Due to that I can not take away from how well this set performs overall.

With over 100 scuba dives under my belt as a PADI Master Diver, I have tried a wide range of masks and snorkels across all of the different price points. This Cressi set stands out as one of the better options, considering the value for money. Cressi is a reputable brand in the dive industry, and the mid to high level quality / price point here shows. The set comes in a travel pouch that is basic but functional. The mask itself is comfortable and fits well on an adult face, yet also fit my 8 year old without issue. For children under 8, it will likely be too large, but for kids 8 and up, it is a great option, and kids find it fun. The panoramic design with side windows provides extended peripheral vision, and in our use there was no noticeable leakage. The snorkel is especially impressive because it includes higher-end features such as a top dry system that helps prevent water from entering during waves or splashes (still will enter when fully submerged), and a bottom purge valve that makes clearing water easy without the need to blow hard through the tube. These are features normally found on more expensive setups, so it is nice to see them included here. Overall, this is a great mid-level mask and snorkel set. It is easy to use, works well for both adults and kids, provides excellent vision, and delivers features that add comfort and confidence in the water. For the price, the quality and functionality make it a great value.

I am PADI certified and have been diving for more than 25 years. I tested this mask snorkeling beachside since I don't current have a dive planned. The silicone skirt on this mask seals exceptionally well, I had zero leaks while snorkeling in small waves, and diving down a few feet before resurfacing. The silicone is soft, flexibly and comfortable against my skin. As someone with sensitive skin, it didn't cause any irritation. I have a wide face, and this mask fits my face perfectly, although the viewing area is smaller than my dive mask. The tempered glass is crystal clear and underwater viewing had great clarity, and I love that the side panels allow for added peripheral vision. I'll keep this mask for shallow dives and snorkeling, but use my other mask on deeper dives as I prefer a larger lens. The snorkel works smoothly and clearing water was easy. The mask had a plasticky smell when it arrived from being packaged in a plastic bag. It sort of smelled like an inflatable pool float. After using the mask once, that smell is gone and the mask now smells neutral like my other silicone masks. This is great mask for both experienced divers and beginners.
