  • Glad I bought it
This isn't the cheapest snorkel set out there, but after trips to Hawai'i and the Caribbean with it, I am very glad I spent a little more. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rubber around the ankle on the flippers feels quite soft and comfortable in the water. I used these fins every day for a week on a trip this year and didn't get blisters like have from cheaper US Divers fins in the past. And blisters are a BIG problem if you want to spend a lot of time in salt water. The mask is great (though you should hit it with some defog spray or treatment like any other mask). The silicone around the edges created an easy seal in spite of the fact that I have a bit of facial hair that always prevented a good seal in my US Divers mask. The snorkel itself is probably the highlight of the set because of its exceptional design. You can dive deep and get very little water inside, and there is a one way valve in the base of the mouthpiece that makes clearing what water does sneak in a cinch. One issue some may be disappointed with is the power of the fins. They're designed to be compact and easy to take with you when you travel and there's a definite trade off there in loss of thrust. If you are accustomed to standard size fins, you'll notice it. For me, it's been a good trade-off because these are much easier to put in a suitcase for a flight or a backpack for a day trip. For example, I went on a cruise with these last year and our snorkel excursion in Grand Cayman was canceled because of rain, but I was able to take cabs and walk around to different beaches and snorkel all day with this set because these fins fit in my day pack. So I still had a great day! In all this is a great quality set. If you aren't a serious diver and you want a durable, high functioning set that will travel with you. I think this is the best bang for your buck. ... show more

  • Cheap starter kit, great snorkel.
Swimming area: Private Pool Used for: 6 days(continuing) Size: L/XL 10-13 Snorkel: 4/5 It can prevent water completely even if you dive but sometimes maybe waves caused by butterfly stroke overtime some water can get in it randomly, the purge valve takes care of that with one blow but it's not 100% dry i would say 90% dry still better than any other snorkel i used before, the strap area to the mask is bad it's not stable and can resist water when swimming making the mask uncomfortable over period of 30mins continuous swimming maybe with standalone strap it will do wonders with swim glasses rather than the mask, snorkel mouth piece area is flexible so your hair might get stuck if it's long enough till your mouth not tied or without swim cap. Mask: 2/5 Can prevent water from getting to your eyes but fogs the instant you start, nice adjustable strap easy to use, bad snorkel bridge area i don't know if i set it up wrong but there is no "how to" hook the snorkel leaving you with the traditional way on either side not stable or sturdy hold is what you need to know also it's get uncomfortable to my nose overtime. Swim fin: 3.5/5 Feels big despite labeled as short fin it could be the foot area being too big but it's snug when you tighten the strap regardless of foot size if you get a bigger size you can adjust but it doesn't means it will hold for long period of time you will re-adjust now and then, the fin is most likely plastic i didn't find material type on the page so i'm giving my own experience with it, you can walk like a penguin on the ground no problem but better you left your leg as you walk though i wouldn't recommend that as you might bend it overtime also i'm not using fin socks and this is my first time using fin so it's okay no blisters/fraction. Mesh bag: 4.5/5 - Added a pic. If the equipment is not positioned properly it will feel smaller so fins back to back first then snorkel(held by the glasses) then glasses seems to fit good with an extra small glasses, you can tighten the bag to secure it which is great i keep my stuff in it till my next swimming day and if you put the mesh bag on table/ground the snorkel will pop out but overall still better than the nylon bag that comes with the fins. ... show more

  • Excellent, high quality snorkeling set at a great price
Nice complete snorkeling setup. The mask is fantastic, with a low profile (minimal air space within the mask) and comfortable silicone skirt. I have a full beard and had simply resigned myself to the fact that I would forever have to live with leaking masks, so I was quite pleasantly surprised when it didn't leak at all. The tempered glass is crystal clear and after a quick (ok, 5 minute) polish with toothpaste (use regular Colgate, none of that fancy stuff) the lenses were completely fog-free for hours of underwater fun. The snorkel is also excellent. With a comfortable silicone mouthpiece that doesn't wear your jaw out, splash guard and float-seal, this is one of the best snorkels I've ever used. I took it for a test run in choppy water off the coast of Southern California and had no trouble with unseen waves breaking over my head and down my throat. It's also nice to be able to dive and not have to expel a full tube of water before you can breathe. The fins are a bit stiff and short (the only very minor complaint that I have) but quite comfortable. Plus, since they are short you can actually walk in them (looking a little goofy, but at least you don't have to walk backwards all the time) and are small enough that they should pack easily for travel. Overall I would highly recommend this snorkeling set to anyone looking for everything in one package at a great price. ... show more

  • Used it for 10 Days vacation and does it’s job
I would have given it 5 stars if only they made the mask a little bit more softer. I have tried rental set from our snorkeling excursion and it is really soft around the face, no water issues coming in plus it doesn’t feel like it is smushing my face. The rubber around it is a little too hard so it hurts a little bit if you put it on too tight. I’m a beginner and felt like I wanted it a little tight, there were instances water got in and unsure why but was able to move it around and reposition my mask. ... show more
