Description

The Italian made Cressi Palau Short Open Heel Adjustable Fin is ideal for any recreational Snorkeler. The Palau open heel short blade snorkel fins are made for use with bare feet and provide outstanding comfort and versatility. The open-heel design means each fin can accommodate a wider range of sizes, so family members or friends can share equipment more easily. The short fin is an excellent choice for the avid traveler as the short blade is lightweight and compact, making it ideal for packing with ease. Frameless masks are loved by many divers and snorkelers for their low profile and ability to fold flat for easy carrying, Cressi's Frameless Mask design bonds a high-grade silicone double feathered edge Skirt directly to a single tempered glass lens for the ultimate in simplicity. The low internal volume allows for effortless clearing and the quick-adjust strap buckles are molded directly into the skirt for a flexible fit and reduced drag. The Cressi Supernova Dry Snorkel has an anti- splash end with a special valve that seals the tube as you dive, almost totally preventing the entrance of water when the snorkel is submerged. The lower end has a corrugated section that has a smooth internal bore which prevents trapping water inside the snorkel tube allowing excess water to quickly drain to the collection reservoir below.

This kit is pretty much as good as it gets for this price range. The colors are great (if you try to buy Cressi fins most places usually they only come in pink or blue). I had done a ton of research before making this purchase, and really each piece of gear in here came highly recommended individually from various reviewers. The snorkel is a Cressi Supernova Dry ($25 retail), which is consistently rated as the best bang for your buck among dry snorkels. We found this to be true, my wife used it for many long excursions without any discomfort or issues with water. The Cressi Palau fin ($35 retail) is a great little fin for snorkeling particularity around coral formations, where a shorter fin can help prevent you from accidentally damaging the coral. My wife found that it did feel a little under-powered, you need to work hard to keep up with folks using regular longer fins. But overall she was happy with it, and got used to swimming with them. The Cressi Frameless Mask ($37 retail) is an awesome mask. My wife has a smaller face, and i was worried it would be too big. But the silicon really helps this fit anyone well. I have a bigger face, and it fit me too. So it will fit. It's tempered glass which is awesome. It's frameless design made it really easy for me to compress to fit into our luggage. And my wife just had a great time with it. One piece of advice with these frameless silicon masks is don't over-tighten them. If you are used to a framed mask, you might feel like you need to tighten until you feel the hard rim of the mask on your face. You don't need to do this, keep it looser than you would think, and test it out before you go out. But it will be much more comfortable if you don't over tighten. Good product but never received the correct color. I requested the white and received the black twice. I gave up on color not wanting the continued waste of resources. Disappoint in this back and forth. There is a feel of quality in the gear.

This set is good like the original ones I bought . I did buy two sets that have weak mask to strap connection. Do not know why cressi would cheap up a good thing. I have tried to communicate with cressi with little results. I have a sailing snorkeling business and have except for 2 set been happy.

I really like this set. Not too expensive, comes with a mesh bag, and is fairly packable. Yes, the mask fogged a bit (I brought but never used any anti-fogging treatment, so likely my fault), and leaked a bit (probably mostly because of my upper lip hair). But it worked better than another (much more expensive) mask I had also bought. My only complaint is aesthetic: it looks ridiculously small on my face. The fins are not too big, and they worked great. The snorkel is amazing. The mouthpiece was comfortable, and it kept water out well when I was completely under water. And if some water did get in (usually because I didn't keep my mouth closed enough), it was easy to clear out even while submerged! I am hardly an expert snorkeler, I get easily discomfited if my breathing feels restricted. But I was able to breathe freely and deeply with this snorkel. First off, this is the first negative amazon review I have written. I think that it is important I state this because I really want this review to be seriously considered prior to anyone purchasing this kit. I bought this set for a weekend lobstering in the keys and it was a horrible mistake. Cressi is a good brand from what I hear but I promise you this is not a good set. The flippers would not stay on when kicking hard. This is due to the poor strap design, they just come right off your feet with a swift kick. The straps simply can not be tightened much at all. Even if you tighten them before fitting and try to wedge your foot in, the straps just slip against the tension and instantly loosen. I would consider these flippers to be inadequate for even casual snorkeling, and completely useless for trying to swim down to catch a lobster. If I seem critical about the flippers, just wait until I tell you about the mask. This is the worst mask I have ever used. It consistently leaks and it kills your nose. No matter how much you adjust the strap or try to refit this on your face it will always fail you. It somehow seemed to force sea water up my sinuses, and it physically hurt (to the point of bruising) the underside of my nose within the first couple hours of use. I ultimately decided to quit lobstering early due to the pain and sinus issues this horrible mask was causing me. Two days later I am at the doctor getting treated for a sinus infection. Horrible headache, bruised noise... I am sending this back for a refund, I honestly feely like sending them my doctors bill as well. I will say the actual snorkel worked very well, surprisingly better than most another other snorkels i've used. This alone is the only reason for the two star rating. That said, however many good reviews there seem to be of this product, please consider this review before purchasing and move on to a different product. ... show more

This is an ok set. The mask is what I had some leakage issues with at times not always. Not sure if itโ€™s the clear silicone or just the fit. Tough to order a mask that will work if you have not tried it before. Still keeping the set, I just wish I tried the black mask instead of clear because seeing other black masks the silicone seems to have a different feel. Not sure it matters just a thought. Love these snorkeling set! Me and my husband both purchased one and weโ€™ve used it a few times already and weโ€™re happy with them. The fins are comfortable and durable. The googles work great, we put toothpaste to keep it from fogging since the spray we had wasnโ€™t reliable. I havenโ€™t had any issues with water getting in through the top so Iโ€™m happy about that. ... show more
