It throws off your equilibrium real bad. You’re better off, using a snorkel and a mask. Water kept getting in the mask as well even though there was a seal around my face. It’s not for the ocean.

I have snorkeled in salt water twice with a separate mask and snorkel. I had trouble coordinating my breathing. I got salt water on my lips and each time I was sick AKA chumming the water. Hawaii in 2 weeks will tell if I do ok.
