  • Great Snorkel!!
Color: Clear/Cobalt
Awesome product and service!! Highly recommend!!

  • Great if you mostly surface snorkel
Color: Clear/Cobalt
Tried it out on a snorkel trip to Hawaii, and I really liked it. I mostly snorkel on the surface, or dive in shallow areas. This trip, my ears were clogged and I tried diving but could not clear my ears, so I really did mostly stay on the top. However, in very shallow dives, this snorkel stayed dry. I have a Tusa Hyperdry, which is not really a dry snorkel (Tusa does have a dry model), and I liked this Cressi better. For a snorkel, the mouthpiece was fairly comfortable. Most days when I snorkeled, I was out for 45-60 minutes, and it did get a little uncomfortable at the end, but that seems true of all snorkels I have tried. I liked this snorkel so much that I had my husband try it one day, but he was not as fond of it. He said it seemed to limit his breathing a bit, but then, he dove more and maybe he didn't realize that it shuts off your air intake when the tip goes under water. In a regular snorkel, the mouthpiece fills up with water so you know you are under and can't breathe. Since this stays dry, you might not realize that you ducked your head under water briefly and the snorkel shut off to keep the water out. Anyway, I liked it a lot and will retire my other snorkel permanently now! ... show more

  • Stays dry. Easy Purge. Soft mouthpiece.
Color: Clear/Cobalt
I love this snorkel. The silicone mouthpiece is so comfortable against your mouth and gums, you can snorkel for hours. Even in yellow flag conditions (moderate surf), I never get a drop of water in the snorkel. I Do some shallow diving as well, and have no issues with water getting in, float re-opening, or purge valve clogging. The only time I get water in it is when I drop it from my mouth to talk, and the purge valve is easy and efficient to clear. It just works. Really dig the quick release buckle - makes it easy to attach quickly without futzing with the strap. ... show more

  • Best Thing Since Sliced Bread and Chocolate Cake
Follow up: snorkeled the Bahamas. Even in choppy water it worked perfectly. First time using a dry snorkel, and I love it. I grew up at the beach and used straight snorkels all my life. I was a little concerned about reports of the valve sticking but I give a small exhale when I surface to clear the purge valve and the valve opens everytime. Also I’m a big guy with a large head and it adjusts perfectly. Can’t wait to snorkel in the Bahamas with it. ... show more

  • Sort of works, not great
As mentioned by others, airflow through this seems restricted, which is probably more related to the vertical cork/plug valve mechanism of this dry snorkel causing a restriction in airflow when not completely open rather than because of the oval cross section of the snorkel tube. Also, the plug does not completely keep all water out. In general, the dry snorkels that I have used with the flapper valve mechanism work much better - they seal against water getting in better and they don't partly restrict the flow of air The clip does stay secure on the mask, which was a problem we had with another dry snorkel ... show more

  • Takes a bit to get use to it but works!
Color: Clear/Cobalt
Great price. Works well. Took me a bit to get use to it in the water when you go under but it works! I can snorkel well and if the water goes over the snorkel the valve closes and water does not get in. Just don’t panic when the air stops coming and you will be fine. Adjusted to fit my prescription goggles perfectly and feels good. Love it! ... show more

  • Not bad for the price.
Color: Clear/Cobalt
It was decent for a cheap snorkel, but the 'dry top' valve is really, really unstable and due to the acrylic surrounding it, it's hard to block so the purge valve can be used without surfacing. It definitely did not work as a dry snorkel for me, though I'd say it was semi-dry, because I was getting hit with less water than my partner's open-top snorkel. It did not allow me to free dive at all, the purge valve would leak water badly about 8' down. If you're surface snorkeling, this isn't terrible, for the price. If you need something long term or for diving, I'd spend money on a better model. ... show more

  • This one worked well.
I finally had to replace my original snorkel, which I only use as a backup when scuba diving. This one worked well. The keeper was a little difficult to use with my mask strap.
