Although the kit came with paint, I decided to use acrylic paint markers instead, and the results turned out absolutely amazing. These ceramic tiles are very cute and fun. My son is 2 and he is no Picasso, but it was still an age appropriate activity for him. This is suitable for kids and is a great gift for grandparents or to add to your garden. I have 4 stars because as You can see in the picture we have another set of paint that we used. The little strip of paints they give you are hard to open (not that big of a deal) and there is not much to work with. I felt like we needed more paint to cover the entire area. The paint brushes are pretty stiff and small as well. AGAIN these are deal breakers for buying the product, just something to keep in mind. The paint is easy to clean off of skin and surfaces. Last note: maybe consider a top coat before putting it out in the yard/elements. I found that it helps the colors stay more vibrant. ... show more

I bought a 3 pack of these for my sons and a friend to do during a playdate. They really enjoyed it and it gave them a good opportunity to be creative! The main thing I would note, though, is that despite the label, these CANNOT actually be used as stepping stones. They're ceramic and are hollow inside, so they would absolutely break if stepped on, even by a child. Also, I don't know how well the paint will hold up outside in the elements, so I'm planning on putting some type of clearcoat on them to protect them a bit.
