Features

  • CR Touch Auto Leveling bed Ender 3 E 3D printer is equipped with CR Touch Sensor, which is indepently developed. The intelligent leveling system can automatically compensate the error height (accuracy 0.04mm) at different points of the printing bed, which effectively improves the model printing quality and printing success rate, and makes leveling bed more easily more precise.
  • Spring Steel PEI Magnetic Build Plate Ender-3 E has used the spring steel PEI magnetic build plate, which has good adhesion to the printed model and enables fast heating up of the heat bed. users can remove the printed model effortlessly with just a slight bend.
  • Filament Sensor and Power Off Resume PrintingEnder-3 E features the function of detecting filament runout or breakage/power loss and resume printing after recovery. By accurately recording the printing data at the time of power outage/filament runout or breakage, it helps to avoid the waste of filaments and time caused by accidents.
  • Metal Extruder Kit Ender 3 E adopts Creality metal extruder which has better stronger pressure to pushing filament into printer nozzle, improving the printer's performance.

  • Good and bad

Its actually a decent little printer but be warned there is a learning curve and she aint easy. On the plus side this printer comes with lots of upgrades and for the little investment i would say its decent.

For the money I am disappointed. Bowden tube feed and glass print surface are just outdated. I have other printers I like much more that cost less.

  • Upgraded Ender 3 that costs less than an Ender 3 V2, just needs a dual Z axis
This printer is a standard Ender 3 with some popular upgrades that makes it one of the best low-cost, out-of-the-box printers I've tried (and I own four 3D printers including an Ender 3 V2). I'd honestly recommend this over the Ender 3 V2 given all the upgrades that come straight out of the box; no figuring out upgrades or disassembling and reassembling parts later. THE PRINTER: As with other the Ender 3 series printers, this has shown to be reliable and fairly user friendly, particularly for beginners, especially given the add-ons that make this the enterprise version. Print quality is good and the printer is versatile for different filaments (PLA, ABS, TPU, and PETG being the ones I've used thus far). Bed adhesion is very good with the glass bed, though I did put this in an enclosure when I started printing with ABS to resolve warping, but in my experience that's a product of ABS, not a poor bed. The interface isn't the prettiest but it gets the job done which is all I'm really looking for. THE UPGRADES OVER A STOCK ENDER 3: 1. The auto-leveling sensor: it works well and is a huge improvement over the stock Ender 3s manual leveling which saves a ton of frustration, I recommend autoleveling capabilities to anyone looking for a 3D printer. 2. The upgraded springs and leveling nuts: these look great and feel sturdier than the stock plastic components on the Ender 3 (and Ender 3 V2), but maybe aren't needed for functionality, either way I'm not against their inclusion in this set. 3. The filament sensor: it's fine but unnecessary, filament breakage doesn't seem to be a big problem so I don't see needing this often, but a nice inclusion none-the-less. 4. The metal extruder: one of the best add-ons - definitely feels more sturdy and durable than the stock extruder. WHAT WOULD MAKE THIS PERFECT: My only complaint with this is that it doesn't have a dual Z-axis. There's some droop in the gantry that results from it only being moved up/down by a lead screw on one side of the gantry. This results in first layers not laying down completely smooth, or the hot end tip rubbing on the bed (even despite auto-leveling) which can damage the tip, the bed, and can ruin a print. This hasn't been a big issue yet but I have noticed it on a couple occasions thus far. A dual Z axis would resolve this. Additionally, a dual Z axis on top of the auto-leveling system and metal extruder would really hit all the big upgrades in one box. THE PRICE: This is very reasonably priced for everything it includes and is capable of. It runs slightly more expensive than the standard Ender 3 (you're paying for the upgrades but it comes with the added convenience of them being in the box) and is cheaper than the Ender 3 V2 which lacks out-of-the-box auto-leveling and metal extruder. It is definitely worth the price and is one of the best printers for the price-point. CONCLUSION: The Ender 3E is a great 3D printer that takes the Ender 3 and adds many of the most popular upgrades in the convenience of a single package for less than the cost of an Ender 3 V2. It lacks a dual Z axis which would really make this perfect, but even still, it's a great option for anyone looking to get into 3D printing or expand their printing capacity. ... show more

  • Another good one in the Eder 3 line
ONE IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE WITH ANY CREALITY PRINTER - Make sure you tighten down every single screw, even the ones that came pre-installed from the factory. Make sure you tighten down all the rail slider wheels so there is no play. You don't want them so tight that there is not free movement on each axis, but it is important to get everything nice and tight or you will endure hours of torture trying to figure out why your seemingly good prints fail in the middle. This Ender 3 E is interesting because of the upgrades it offers. The CR Touch bed leveling is a great addition, and having the filament out detector and the upgraded extruder are nice options as well. The 4.2 motherboard provides remarkably quite print motor operation. The fans are still a little noisy but the stepper motors run almost silently. One thing about the Eder 3 pro was that it turned the motherboard cabinet upside down so the fan was on the bottom. That provide quieter fan operation and also meant that debris could not fall down into the motherboard cabinet. The 3 E turns it back like the Ender 3 with the fan up. I'm not a fan of the Ender print beds. The glass one that was included had really poor adhesion. It's not a deal breaker for me since I pretty much use one of the TwoTrees brand of PEI print beds now. But the first 3 prints I tried were using the glass bed and all of them lost adhesion at some point during the early stages of the print process. I gave up on the glass bed and put on my PEI bed and printing went flawlessly. Bed leveling is easy. Just watch the assemble and leveling video (all in one) on the TF drive that comes with the printer and you can get the base leveling done so the CR-Touch and do it's magic. The manual is good by Creality standards, but some of the print is so tiny I had to use my phone camera to take a picture then enlarge it. And the contents of the TF drive that came with the printer was a .RAR file and had to be extracted with a 3rd party tool on my Windows PC. Creality Slicer 4.8 is included on the TF drive, along with quite a few models to play with and there is also a ready to go GCODE file you can print if you just can't wait. Creality cannot seem to settle on a consistent menu structure for it's printers. The 3 E is different from the 3 Pro, which is completely different from the standard 3. So if you have an Ender 3 printer already, you may find yourself hunting for some of the options. And the print from TF option is not even on the first page of options. It's a nice printer, bed size is standard for the Ender 3 series. The stepper motors are extremely quiet, if I didn't see my filament spool moving I wouldn't even know the printer was going. And having the upgraded extruder and the CR-Touch bed leveling system make this a great choice. And even with all these upgrades, the price is pretty good. ... show more
