My 5 year old son loves crafts, especially paitning. I thought this would be a fun craft, plus exploration bonus. The paint doesn't adhere well the the styrofoam. We didn't even bother with the double sided tape....I used the hot glue gun and that worked great. The planets were painted two coats and sat over night after each coat.....but that is a double edged sword because you're not going to get perfect coverage, especially if you're trying to get the effects of the planets in the color scheme. It not qaulity paint and it's difficult to maintain the colors with two coats. Not an engaging craft. I'm not sure how long I will leave it up on the wall. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend. I purchased for $13 and had a promitional g.c. for $10. Definetly worth less than $5. ... show more

So, full disclosure: my kid is only four, so a lot of the activities are out of his league. That said, I bought this for the poster and planets you can paint. They're just Styrofoam half balls, a small amount of paint, a little activity book, and the poster, which isn't huge. Definitely not worth the $25 I paid for it. Not sure why they're charging so much for literally $10 worth of stuff, if that. ... show more

It's an ok project. Child who was less then enthusiastic when opening really enjoyed the painting and stickering. That said not so much as a price concern, but as a 'well put together project' concern, I would give it a C-. Not enough paint in certain colors. Difficult to use double tape. Stickers for Earth that make no sense with inadequate directions for a child to do successfully. Just sort of an ok project. ... show more
